You get what you pay for
The price of this phone is a reflection of the quality. It is cordless and my particular model will allow me to plug the headset in and walk around but the sound quality is horrible. Withut the headset using the handset alone I think you'd be better off using some cans and string. This is not a high quality phone.

Phone did not work - new purchase
Bought this phone for my daughter - It never worked. Charged it and Charged it - all it did was flash and never was able to use it. I returned it.

Not a good value
This phone (at least the unit I purchased) had very poor sound quality and range. I noticed a slight amount of static when standing right next to the base unit, that only got worse as I walked away and behind a few walls. To compare, I did the same thing to a VTech unit that I purchased last year for the same price (but with a digital answering system) and that phone was silent (except for the sound of human voices on the other end).

Best to spend your heard-earned cash on a more worthy unit.

Disappointed
I bought this phone because of the range and speaker phone feature. I immediately found that the phone kept displaying "line 2" active when there was only one line to the phone. The battery in the handset died after only two months and a replacement never charged. When I returned it to the manufacturer via instructions I received a factory-reconditioned older phone with only 900 mhz in return with no other explanation. I will never buy a UNIDEN phone again.

Broke after 1 year
My phone worked fine for over a year. Now the handset won't connect to the base. First, I tried the troubleshooting guide in the manual. Then I tried replacing the battery and contacting Uniden customer service. The phone still fails to work.

Avoid this one.

Uniden TRU 3466
bgt the TRU346 after good reviews, memory dim but phone broke within a year, could not hear caller (they could hear me)often could not get dial tone, don't remember what tech support (email) suggested (chg battery, reprogram unit etc), didn't work anyway. Uniden brand name and the reviews on TRU3466 with speakerphone, gave them another chance. # sign on handset died after a few months (try using voicemail systems without the pound #)had to use speakerphone constantly for # sign key. Earpiece is necessity, move around my office a lot, works on and off now, lot of static or no reception at all. I also need earpiece to keep hands free (major reason for speaker phone as well).Bought two phones, less than two years, $180. Big disappointment.
Will never buy UNIDEN phone again.

RIP-OFF
I can't believe I was suckered into buying this piece of worthless junk. I returned it to the store, they gave me a new one, and within one week I had the same problems. The only feature that works is the speaker phone - forget the handset!! I have tried to contact the manufacturer for a refund, also to no avail. Beauty is only skin deep!!

THE PITS
The design gets you. But, it begins and ends there. The reception is awful. The display died within months. Finding replacement batteries at local retailers is impossible. WARNING: don't go near a microwave with this junk - you'll get interference that is almost painful! The mfgr should recall this mistake and refund our money plus pay us for the frustration. It doesn't even make a good paper weight.

THE PITS!
The design gets you. But, it begins and ends there. Nothing else about this phone is worth having. The reception is HORRIBLE. Within months, the display dies. Batteries are impossible to find at local retailers. You couldn't pay me to use this phone again. The mfgr should recall it and give everyone their money back plus extra for the frustration!

I wouldn't even give it 1 Star, 0 stars would be better said
yeah, I bought this camera thinking that it was great, for the first week that is. The backup battery only works if it has 90% power. If there's less it doesn't work. My camera doesn't read my CF card. Sometimes it does, but when I turn off the camera, it forgets the CF Card was even in there. Also, the internal memory will sometimes say it's full; but when you go to see if there's pics the camera says there's no pics. The camera was a joke from the start. I have wasted money trying to get this thing to work.

    stay away
It is a piece of crap. I have not been able to take one photo on it yet. The only thing that has worked on it is the lcd screen. Stay away.

Nice bargain price but, you'll pay for it later...
For starters, Do not buy this or any cheap digital Camera. Spend at least 200 for a good camera. You'll get what you pay for.

Here's the story: I had a friend visit from another country, and I snapped many shots. Not only did the quality stink, but, The battery power drains very quickly(using NIMH batteries, which last longer than alkaline.) The camera functions are so slow, that if you accidently press the wrong sequence of buttons while waiting for camera to load properly, you lose the entire storage of pictures. I was fuming mad to see my storage disappear with the error "No Photos."

Also, the LCD display is so small, it's almost pointless to use. Word to the wise.... If you've already bought this camera, GET A COMPACTFLASH MEMORY MODULE(64mb or higher.) That's going to run you at least 45Bucks (See, price going up already) But, the benefit of an external memory module is that you can take it out and put it into a Digital Memory reader. Remember: Avoid this camera like the plague. Personally, I'm looking at a Sony or a Nikko camera.(With digital video included)

This phone is a piece of junk!
Bought it for about ($) in store. Initially it works fine. No problem with it at all except it takes SEVEN rings to engage the answering machine.

After 3 months it gets extremely noisy with static, even when the headset is 2 feet from the base. Switching channels does not help at all. They ALL have this noise. While the phone is right next to a PC, my older cordless does NOT have this problem. I have 3 other phones on the SAME LINE and they are all fine so it must be the phone itself.

After 4 months, the battery in the handset is virtually dead. Talktime with the handset is less than 10 minutes. And this is with the phone recharging ALL THE TIME. At least it "warns" you about battery going dead, but this is unreasonably short for a phone that's less than 6 months old! Discharging and recharging doesn't help either. A replacement battery is ($) + S&H!

The screen is barely readable, and the buttons on the base are nearly invisible. Controls are almost impossible to figure out without the manual.

All in all, this is the worst phone I've ever purchased. My old Panasonic cordless was better than this.

Piece of junk! Complete waste of my money!
This phone is a piece of junk! It's supposed to be a 2.4 GHz phone and it was SO NOISY my old REGULAR (not even 900 MHz, but the one BEFORE that) cordless from Panasonic has less noise! And I'm RIGHT NEXT to the base! THEN the batteries start to run down. This phone now has LESS THAN TEN MINUTES of talk time! And this phone was LESS THAN A YEAR OLD!

I hate this phone so much, I went out and bought a 900 MHz cordless. No noise, fine battery life. In fact, I'm going to "give" this phone to one of my "friends". Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.

    Terrible reception
The other features of this phone are adequate, but the sound quality is awful. Some times I get heavy, crunchy static even when I'm standing right next to the base unit. I would not recommend this piece of junk to anyone.

    LCD screen devours batteries
Unlike everyone else's phones, my caller ID works.

But it devours 3 AA batteries every 2 months or so.

If you happen to own one of these phones, and you're experiencing similar problems, get a new phone. It's evidently not worth the hassle or postage to have it repaired/exchanged/etc.

If you don't own one of these phones, then don't buy one.

    Not worth the hassle...
I bought this phone last August. The caller ID would work occassionally during the first 3 days, but after that, it simply stopped working. Unfortunately, I waited a month before trying to exchange it and had to send it to the manufacturer. They do not refund, only exchange. When I received the replacement, the caller ID didn't work at all. I continued to return a total of 5 different replacements, not one of them had a caller ID that worked. ..

What a waste of money and time(...

    Caller ID doesn't work
The caller id function simply doesn't work, on the phone I'm replacing Caller ID works fine, plug this one in, set up the A/Cs and all it displays is NO DATA.

Tech support line is all PRE RECORDED messages that don't help.

I returned the first one thinking it was the phone I bought, but second had same issue. Go figure.

    Simply the worst
I received this Phonemate (made and/or distributed by TT Systems) as a gift. After using it for about ten weeks I can report that any of the other negative comments about this product are understatements. Even when new the sound quality on the receiving end was lacking in range and volume. After about 6 weeks the phone developed static that started off low and rose to a crescendo that sounded like a lighting storm in the earpiece, occasionally punctuated with screeching noises. Chaning the channel does not alleviate this problem, nor does coming closer to the base. A slap to the headset though, does quiet it down for a brief respite. All in all a thoroughly unsatisfactory piece that has been replaced with a Panasonic 900 mHz KX-TC 1486 which is a true delight.

Fails in every respect as a telephone.
Looked like a good choice to try for an inexpensive phone with a nice design. I've had it about a week. I've asked every person I've spoken to how it sounds on the other end, and ALL have said it sounds loud and clear. Some questioned whether it was wireless or not. The problem is that on MY end of the line there is always static...a LOT of static. I've had other phones in the same spot for years, analog, 900mhz, etc... I've NEVER had ANY static on the line. There are times that I'm yelling at the other person, "If you can hear me, I can't hear you! No, this is not a cell phone. I know you hear me perfectly, it's not the connection...I got a new phone and I'll be returning it ASAP but I'm waiting for another one to arrive first.
If one of the things you use the phone for is speaking to other people, this is not the model for you.

PhoneMate... If that means it sits next to your real phone.
Bought the pumped up version of this phone with the speakerphone base. The Screen stoped working after about four months. You can't see anything so you never know what number you are dialing. Now it freezes up and I have to pull out the battery just to get it functioning again. Plus the whole thing is made of cheap plastic I will never buy a product from this company again their purpose certainly is not quality.

    not compatible with xp
The box says that it is XP compatible, but apparently they didn't try to install it before making that claim. Take it back to Wal-Mart.

    Horrendous install experience
I don't think this thing would install even with a hammer and chisel. No wonder there are so many "discounted return" boxes on the shelf. Save your sanity, your head, and the wall against which you will bang it. Move on.

    it is absulutely junk
could not install it even after install windows xp drivers , manual is useless , pointless to read ... they put this product when most poeple have xp in their pcs and still they did not mention anything about win xp in their manual....plus it's more expensive than any logitech webcams which you dont have problem in installing them buy a logitech better

Some Nice features but Terrible battery time
I bought this phone after owning another superb panasonic cordless that dies after 4 years. This phone has some nice features. With Caller ID and memory feature. It can recall a vast amount of numbers but this phone has no battery life at all. It says you can get 5 hours...NO WAY! I am lucky if I can get 1 hour of talk time. It goes from full charge to recharge in 45 min and it takes hours to recharge. I would not reccomend this phone at all.

    Poor Battery life
I purchased my KX-TG2205W in October 2002. After only about 3 to 4 months the battery life declined to just a few hours of standby and very few calls. This past week I purchased a new battery, (about 1/3rd of original price of the phone) I then charged the new battery for 24 hours. The first use with the new battery lasted only about 12 hours, then DEAD once again. What we thought was a nice phone, liked the features, now becomes useless at all the wrong times. I purchased a 2nd phone as a gift, seems like it too may have been a poor choice? Now Panasonic suspects the charging system, requested me to send it in and they will replace with a "Refurbished Phone" This leaves me quite unhappy.

    Get something else
We had this phone for 10 months and got a new one because we had finally had it with this one. The features are nice, but the major annoyance is the battery life or the lack there of. You can be talking on the phone for just a short time,15 minutes or less, and the battery goes dead. Without any warning at all. Not even a beep or two. We got it because we liked the speakerphone but that was the only good thing about it. We got in place of it a Motorola without a speakerphone and have been happy with it.

If you are considering this phone. Please think again and get something else. We have also had GE phones that we are very happy with.

    Not very good.
I bought one in October and am now searching for another phone. There are problems when someone calls, it disconnects after two rings and there's a lot of static.

    Panasonic Big Button Phone
I bought this product for my father who is going blind from macular degeneration. I thought the big buttons would be easy to use. They were, however the phone lacks the ability to be programed for numbers that he uses regularly.

    Dead On Arrival!
Well, I had high hopes that this would be a simple, easy to use, reliable, good quality phone . . .

WRONG! It was dead and hopelessly so. I called Panasonic's service number and they offered a few obvious suggestions and I followed all of the troubleshooting tips in the instruction flyer that came with the oh-so-dead phone. No luck! I'm trying again and have a replacement (same model) on order.
