I bought this item for my 9" portable Panasonic DVD player (DVD-LX9). However, when it arrived the tag said it was designed for the other 9" player (DVD-LA95). No matter, the DVD-LX9 fits inside the main compartment just fine and there is still some room left for the remote. The case is designed so that you can use your DVD player without having to remove it; 2 velcro-adjustable nylon straps will hold the case open at around 90 degrees provided that there is not too much weight in the front compartment.

There is a zippered rear compartment that can hold AV and power cables. The zippered/magnetically buttoned front compartment comes with a removable 10-sleeve DVD wallet. The walls of the case are nicely padded without being too bulky and the exterior is made of a rich leather (or leather-like) material. The brand name "Panasonic" and the DVD logo are embossed on the outer flap of the front compartment.

I've been using this case daily for 3 weeks now with no problems. Don't get this one if you're expecting it to carry everything the DVD-LX9 comes with, because the docking cradle and mini-tower speakers simply won't fit. I don't know for sure, but smaller players might be OK in this case; there is an internal securing strap and foam divider to keep things from moving around too much in the main compartment.

just played the Bruce Springsteen dvd of his Barcelona concert and it was just a slammin reproduction by the dvd/home theater...........and the price has come down $70 since i bought it (doesnt it always).........but still a great buy

This product is absolutely awesome! It's a bit expensive though, but who cares? Go buy it!

I previouslly had the Sony DVP-S360 and I was reasonably satisfied with it. However, I just wanted to buy a new sound system to my bedroom and a new TV so I went to Andorra which is a principality between Spain and France and is tax free zone. I bought this system and the Sharp 36NS400 TV to go with it.

The whole package was about 35% cheaper than in portugal or United States.

The sound is good enough due to the constitution of my room and the image quality is perfect. The remote is a little weird but you get used to it.

If you can afford, this is one the best options to take

I looked far and wide; did research; tried this and others.
I finally bought this item over a year ago.
I have made hundreds of DVDs of videos that I have shot myself.
This machine makes DVDs that can be seen on most all DVD players manufactured after April 2000. I shoot dance recitals, weddings, parties, and just plain family events using a video camera that records on Mini-DV tapes. Then, I play the tapes on either the camera or a JVC SR-VS20U using a firewire/DV cable into the PRV9000. The results are spectacular and profitable. Avoid the other formats unless you want to be the only person to play your finalized DVDs. Until a faster, multiple disk recordable machine comes out; this is the one to have. The best part is the input signal is NTSC! That means you can use it just like a standard video recorder using almost any signal instead of converting from an AVI file to Mpeg 2 before putting the file on the DVD disks. BTW; the media has dropped dramatically in price to almost [money] a disk for 2 hour DVD-R blank. I have been using Mitsui disks but have begun to use Maxell with good results. Good luck.

Well, I just got mine last weekend and could not be happier with it. I got an incredible deal @ Circuit City on a display model ($1089.00) DVD player didn't work when I tried, it said incompadible disk on 4 different discs, but they are coming to fix that. Shop around, I was going to get a non HDTV compatible TV, but found this on a whymm...

I needed a LCD monitor in my van for the kids to watch dvds for long trips. I was going to buy a monitor alone and connect it to a stand alone dvd player, but when I saw this one with a dvd player built in I thought that I could use it anywhere. You can disconnect the battery if you want to. you can plug in the ac/dc plug in home, or 12v car power adapter for the car. It's very light and very/very! solid, (no plastic).
The bottom where the battery plugs in is actually the same size as a tripod shoe screw so you can mount it to a tripod. It has digital/optical outs and video/audio in/outs for video games. You can reverse the image if you want to mount the unit upside down. (tripod mount) like what I've done on my vans ceiling.
The only thing you need to remember is that unlike other dvd players this doesn't have a lid to protect the screen. But it does come with a nice protective bag. For transporting and a case to hang from your cars headrest.
A+ It's really a nice unit. Buy one NOW.

I like because I can use my computer to record MP3 in DVD and programing slides at the same time to watch them and listenning with my TV and stereo at the same time.!!!
On the second hand, I could record my favorite TV programs on DVD. Thirdly, I could record my best video movies in DVD.
and fourthly, I could record my MP3 DVDs to share making copies for my friends to establish firmly our friendship and welfare, and in spreading it make new friends. !!!Allellulla!!! Amen...
