PICTURE LOOKING GREAT!!!!!
Don't judge this TV by its cheap look, judge it by its screen resolution and picture quality. I have owned Casio's models 970 and 880. They don't have as many pixels as the 550. The brightness and picture quality is superior when you put them side to side. The 550 has TFT active matrix screen while the others have passive matrix. The TFT is better under all light conditions, even under direct sun light. If you really want a TV that is good both outdoors and indoors don't buy a passive matrix tv. Get ready to have lots of fresh batteries or buy the AC adaptor from casio's website. I would not recomend getting those universal AC adaptors out there, even if you set them up to match the handheld specifications, it can eventually burn your screen and your TV won't turn on again. The warranty doesn't cover this kinda thing since you are not using casio's certified AC adaptor. Believe me, it happened to me once and I have heard a lot of sad stories of dead handeld TV's once they are hooked to generic adaptors. SO, play safe, take care of your investment and enjoy!!!!

great picture
Great picture as long as receiption is good. Traveling in the car is another story. I don't have the car antenna, this might help. It blows through batteries also. But, still a good golf cart addition.

Very Nice Product
Active Matrix-good picture and reception. Don't buy any product unless it is active matrix. For the extra $50- buy the Casio three inch model.

well worth the price!
if you are looking for a lcd monitor with tv tuner/pip/video capability, this is the one for you. unless you want the larger size version, that is.

great picture, sound quality, and features... you can't go wrong buying this monitor. only con is not having an included dvi cable.

Little Expensive, But it's Great!
So, I've been indoctrinated into the Samsung MP Monitor strategy. I owned the 150MP moved up to the 170MP and now I just bought the 192MP. As PC Monitors, I find all of them to be pretty good. What I'm always looking for is a better TV/DVD. I was disappointed with the 171MP with it's lack of ability to connect a DVD player (although it did HDTV). So, that's when I bought the 170MP.

I looked at the 172MP, but if I was going to do, I was going to do the 192MP. I also looked at the 173MW which is a very nice monitor, but it was 17" as well although it is 16:9. It also had some nice PIP with side-by-side configurations. In the end, the side-by-side made the computer screen very small and I decided against it. I also looked at the Sharp LL-M17W1U, but again the 17" was too small in a 16:9 format. Both of these made the PC monitor screen too small.

How do I like the 192MP? It's great.

Pros
*Better speakers than it's predessors.
*The component connection with progressive scan capability is awesome. The past monitors were better PC monitors than video. This one is very nice with the component connection for DVD. I would say the video has surpassed the quality of the PC screen. (Haven't tried HDTV yet).
*Connections on the left side (for headphone, composite/svideo w/audio) are easy to access although it would have been nice if they face backwards instead of out to the side.
*The connections on the back are easier to get to than previous models.
*The wheel around the power button for channel and volume is a nice touch.
*Menu, Exit, Enter, Source, PIP, MagicBright buttons on the right side are handy.
*Having only the power button with the channel/volume ring makes the front look very clean and elegant.
*The infrared for the remote is below the power button works better than previous placement on the top. On older models, the placement at the top sometimes made it hard to get to with a glare screen on it.
*The monitor knows when nothing is connected to an input and it will skip it as a choice when scrolling through the inputs. So, you don't waste time passing through inputs with no connections.
*I don't do gaming, so I don't have an opinion there.
*There's a wide mode for the screen to watch DVDs in the 16:9 aspect ratio.
*PIP can be 4:3 or 16:9

Cons
*I liked the other models which showed which input it was on using LEDs and they took that away.
*Doesn't have a line out to let me go between external speakers and internal speakers (but the connection is on the side, so it's easy to pull in and out).
*The PIP isn't very flexible with size (one size) and position (four positions). The older models had more flexibility. The 150MP the most. It diminished a little with the 170MP.

Conclusion - This is doing what I want (above the 170MP I had). Bigger, better screen. Great for DVDs with component progressive scan. The speakers are much better. The look is much cleaner and it's more ergonomic. I'm very happy with this monitor. It's just really expensive. But, I think it does deliver.

Great Monitor!
I shopped around for a flat LCD monitor with tv tuner. I didnt find much out there. I found this one and really liked all the features it has to offer. The quality and clarity is very crisp and clean. You can plug cable to this monitor and watch cable tv while you work on your computor from home. I recommend this LCD 19" flat monitor to anyone. A little expensive but well worth it.

this TV is great--and we don't watch much TV!
We got this mainly for it's space-saving features, mostly to keep the TV out of our way. We don't have cable, and were worried the picture would not be so good. It is better than good, it is simply great! (but you do seem to need an external antenna.) I am amazed at how sleek it is!!! Highly recommend.

Wonderful
The Sharp 15 Inch Flat Screen TV is wonderful. I gave one to my husband last year for Christmas and it is the only TV (we have four TVs) watched on a daily bases. We have a large screen TV however it does not have clean, clear picture that the Sharp Flat screen TV has. Thanks Sharp and keep up the good work.

Plasma with Reliability
If you want to hang your TV on the wall I understand the attraction of Plasma. If not (I believe the majority of people out there do not hang their TV on the wall yet)this is a real alternative with significant advantages. If it breaks buy a bulb, not a whole TV as you would with Plasma. Burn in is very unlikely with this technology, whereas Plasma is very prone to it. Picture quality is better in my opinion in normal conditions, additionally you do not have to suffer the irritation of pixel distortion that currently is a fact of life with Plasma.

There is no comparison with CRT, just the 60lbs of weight and the fact it measures around 14" in depth make it worth the change for me. The picture is truly excellent and unlike non LCD projection TV's the light conditions in the room have a minimal effect. The viewing mode can be adjusted (vivid, standard etc)to taste and used to enhance the mood of a movie or offset light conditions.

Freeze frame and PIP are cool allthough I don't see me using them very much, my brain can only watch one thing at a time unlike other people.

One bonus I did not know about when I bought it but love, is that I can insert the memory sticks from my digital camera and watch a slide show of my pictures in seconds after getting back from a trip.

If you are a non geek you will love how easy and quick it was to set up, with no knowledge I hooked it up in minutes.

If you want to move it any time you do not need to hire a fork lift and three big guys to help you, at a push I can carry it myself limited by size more than weight.

At the end of the day it's just a TV and compared to CRT a very expensive TV at that. But if you want Flat Screen, HDTV, that is big but light and has outstanding picture quality but you don't want to take on the Plasma risk this is one great package.

The whole is only as good as the sum of it's parts
I hesitated in buying this TV as with all new innovations. However I took a leap of faith and purchased one anyway. It took me 2 weeks to finally find one as every store in my area was completely sold out of them (from 42"-60") & some store are still sold out to this date. That excited me more as I was not the only person who liked this tv. You can make the pictures the same size in PIP mode which makes for an enjoyable viewing experience as I play my xbox and watch my favorite shows. I have do not have HDTV in my area yet but I did hear it's night and day difference. However most cable company's do not offer a lot of HDTV channels, thus the low cost. But I do watch the discovery channel a lot so I will benefit from it.

This tv is HD-ready: Fully capable of high-definition display when connected to an optional HDTV source. Conventional analog TV reception is provided via a built-in NTSC tuner.

Video Monster 3: Coax Cable & Component Cable

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING!
Component/Coax wires do affect the quality of your home video experience. The best DVD player connected to the best Plasma/LCD/DLP/LCOS TV will have negative effects on picture quality if you are not using the best grade of Component/DVI/Coax cable. Yes, you will have to shell out more money for theses accessories (in my opinion Monster Cable has proven itself in my house). However, this is the only way to achieve your large screen TV's maximum video performance. It appears that it's not only necessary but simply required! I get mad every time I read negative reviews on this DVD player or my TV when they never invested in high-grade video cables or, their TV is only 480i compatible & not 480p compatible (they can't properly use the DVD player's progressive scan feature). Please check your manual to verify 480p compatibility for your TV, as some are only 480i compatible while others are only 780p to 1080i compatible!!!

Here is a tip to improve picture quality for analog cable/antenna viewers:
Use a A/C powered, 2 port, coaxial, Electroline Drop Amp to improve analog cable
reception. The 18 gauged Satellite coax cable runs from the cable co. to the Electroline Drop Amp in my house. The 1 Meter Monster Video 3 coax cable (gray colored wire) will run from the Electroline Drop Amp to the TV thus improving picture quality.

Summary:
If you own a 32" to a 19" TV the SONY DVP-NS425P is more then adequate. However if you have a TV larger then 32" you needa high-grade component/dvi/coax cable to produce the clarity/color/contrast/hue necessary for a great theater quality picture. Sony does need to move the remote sensor from the upper right corner to the upper center.

Worth Every Penny
After spending months looking at traditional big screens, plasmas and the Samsung DLP, we decided on this technology. I just wasn't impressed with what I saw from the DLP televisions. Few plasmas are true HD, and the DLP image seemed soft to me. The picture on the Sony Grand Wegas is crisp and clean, never soft (unless you want it that way - Sony provides several settings). One of the greatest things about this type of TV is that there's no burn-in issues, so I don't have to "zoom" all the traditional NTSC. I much prefer to have black bars on the left and right than have, everyone look fat. The 480p off a DVD is stunning - and I can't wait to get an HDTV tuner hooked up. The black levels are quite good, it works well in our sun-lit living room, and the viewing angle is very wide. Strangely, the viewing angle gets better after the TV has warmed up a bit. We happen to have a Sony digital camera, and with the memory stick feature, my wife can watch photo slideshows on the big screen - a bonus feature she really likes.

Nearly perfect.
This little sucker is almost too good to be true. Specs don't do justice to the LP130's size; you have to see it in person to appreciate just how tiny it is. Until then, just trust me... it's so small, it's kinda ridiculous.

But you don't seem to sacrifice anything for the light weight. It's just as bright and sharp as the other InFocus projectors I've used (I believe LP435z is the model), which is to say, plenty good enough for anything but hard-core videophiles.

Alright, there is one thing; the LP130 isn't cheap. But it certainly isn't unreasonable compared to other native XGA, 1K lumen ultraportables. Sure, it has the same black-level limitations as all DLP projectors. And it runs pretty hot, almost too hot to touch sometimes.

Those are minor niggles. Overall, this is the best projector I've seen.

An Excellent Portable Projector
I have owned an LP130 for over two years and the performance is outstanding. It is very portable, very powerful and very easy to travel with. Remember that InFocus projectors ship with the brightness set to 50% and that's normally all you need. Turn up the brightness up and you can project really large images. I am impressed with the simplicity of operation. Turn it on, it starts, turn it off it stops. People are blown away by the compactness and brightness. The performance has been exceptional and it has traveled all over the country, to Europe and Asia without a flaw.

It doesn't get much better than this
I wish I owned the LP130. I've seen it in action and must admit it makes a major impression. But I'm lucky because I have a good friend who allows me to borrow this expensive business essential. Its small, light (three pounds), simple to operate, easy to travel with and can throw one heck of an image. The zoom lens will knock your socks off and the remote control allows whoever is giving the pitch to move about without restrictions. Be careful with it...it gets hot but this baby is worth it...it doesn't get much better than this when it comes to a light weight quality projector for professionals. If you need an edge...this is it. It oozes confidence.

Great kitchen or desktop TV!
After having lusted after LCD TV's of this size for some time, I was lucky enough to spot this model as a close-out display unit at half-price. This TV has excellent picture quality with only a slight loss of brightness and color intensity as you move your viewing angle from side to side. The sound and stereo imaging effect is actually quite good, considering the overall size of the unit. It has any type of sound and video input you could desire, including video from a PC that can be used in conjunction with a regular TV signal as a picture-in-picture display.

I purchased a pivoting and extending wall mounted arm that is designed for Sharp and Samsung TV's of this size. This allows it to be mounted under a kitchen cabinet and can then be pulled out and pivoted at any angle. This requires the (easy - four screws) removal of the standard base. It can then be pushed up against the wall when not in use to maximize counter space. The on-screen menu allows for a full range of video and audio setting changes, including standard, movie, and custom modes. Overall, this is a great TV.

Happy Customer
My 65-year-old mom is concerned the radiation produced from "regular" TV. She wants me to get her a less priced flat panel TV in her 45 by 50 room. After three month's intensive searching (local store visiting, internet surfing), I decide to get her a Samsung. I was intent to get her the Samsung LTM-1775W 17", but I'm not ready for the price, yet. I saw the LTM-1555.... The 15" has surprisingly better viewing quality than her four-year-old-brand-name 25" CRT TV, though the sound quality is not that good(better than the old TV, of course). Now, my mom is using it as TV and computer monitor. She's happy with the clear pictures and I'm happy that the setting interface is easy. It's a BEST BUY.

A great little TV
This 15" Samsung HD liquid crystal television is great for someone who doesn't mind the small screen. The picture is fantastic. I pluged mine into a normal cable and the picture was better than a satelite connection. Movies are also top qualitiy. It isn't heavy, so you can easily move it from room to room. My only complaint is the sound quality. I paid over a thousand dollars for it, including the warranty, and expected it to have BBE high definition sound, but it doesn't.

This thing is unreal...
This TV is amazing. Its less than 3 inches thick and perfectly built. All quality, all top of the line. The remote sucks but once you turn on the tv you dont care anymore. HDTV is crystal clear, itll blow your socks off. Dvd's on progressive scan look great, but digital tv is a just little fuzzy but you learn to deal with it, because HD and Dvd are superb. you wont be dissapointed if you buy this.

Digitallll......SAMSUNG is DA Bomb!
Yea thats right samsung is da bomb. when i opened the box i was surprised that the TV was quite big (in a good way of course). Turned it on it was clearly one of the best looking TVs i had ever seen. Put in Finding Nemo DVD via Component cable.....Just blew me away with is clearity..This display rivals a Front Projector DLP! The sound is great with virtual DOLoby Surround sound all you have to do is connect a subwoofer and your good to go. The LCD is rich in featurs and conections. With DNIe technology that helps diliver the great images. The DVi, 2 component and Composite, + one s video inputs, and a subwoofer input. You will have a place to put every ELectonic device into the TV. The other way this TV shines is in its video game support. The component cable is a must have if you own a Xbox the graphics will blow your mind away! Every detail is shown very great experiance....GOOD JOB SAMSUNG nice TV....I Mean GREAT TV!

Great product
Superb image with 720p HDTV and computer graphics..........excellent audio with impressive spatial effects,,,,,,,beautiful 480p pictures from DVDs...........very wide viewing angle, very bright, high contrast, fast response LCD with no smearing, very crisp display......geometry in both 4 to 3 and 16 to 9 widescreen modes is superb.....test patterns from Arvia calibration disk reveal virtually perfect linearity, gray scale, tracking, and totally orthogonal raster with no pincushion or barrel distortion with extremely precise centering..........watch out Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, etc.......this set is terrific.....Minor nits ........remote is laid out badly, not backlit, and only has codes for limited 3rd party compatibility.....my HDTV cable box from Scientific Atlanta is not supported.....actually NONE of the Scientific America cable boxes are supported.........also, picture in picture limited to only a few modes which cannot mix, for example, computer images with component video from cable box, DVD, etc...........Longer warranty would be a nice plus........No audio output jacks except for subwoofer output (really!) and headphone jack........

Excellent TV- Great Space Saver-Awesome Picture
This was my first LCD TV purchase and I'm extremely impressed with the sharp and crisp picture quality. The size is perfect for a bedroom or kitchen tv. Setup is a breeze. It accommodates component, composite and s-video. It's great for hooking-up a DVD player, VCR, Game Console, etc... I have it hooked up to my Tivo and it works awesome. I'm truly happy with my Sharp TV. Highly recommend buying one !!!

Excellent TV for your Kitchen!
Excellent television! The picture is beautiful and it was a breeze to set up. From box to counter and we were watching tv in 5 minutes. We purchased this tv specifically for use in our kitchen and its perfect for that use. Highly recommended.

Super Product
Its simply marvelous. I am not an LCD fan and Actually I have been very disappointed in the technology until I watched the 13inch screens and my faith was restored. When I saw that Aquos was in the 15" I snapped it up. Its sound quality is excellent great workmanship, the picture speaks for itself. I am thrilled with the performance as my CD/DVD player worked so well. and had the Good fortune of witnessing Josh Groban on PBS
belting out some wonderful music in stereo from those powerful little speakers it was like a concert hall. I am very pleased with the Sharp Aquos and the talent I was able to receive over it. Best to Josh Groban his talent is a very rare Gift from God.

    Excellent Value
Wasn't for sure what I was getting myself into. I'm used to watching a huge projection TV at home. This little TV is a very good buy. Colors are vivid and the A/V input is great. I was a little thrown off when I first turned it on, because I saw this bar going across the screen. But as I soon realized, it was the tuner searching for a channel. Much better than fumbling with a little analog dial. The sound isn't booming, but what do you expect from such a compact device. It was very clear and easy to hear without any distortion at any level. The only reason I'm not giving this product 5 stars is because it should have at least come with the AC adapter...

One of the best in It's category
A very good product. Because of TFT technology, screen clarity is very very good. I used a Casio TV 7500 for a long time, but this ones' screen is far better. I have got 2 sets of NiMH batteries (1700 mA) and they last about 2 hours. There is only one thing that I miss, preset channels.

    Addendum to my previous review...
The Casio ev-4500 is now available. 4 inch active matirx. Slim hand-held. I don't know what battery life will be like but this is now the ultimate portable handheld TV (although the 660 is still a great product).
