While this radio is not a great radio, it is competent for the task at hand. I compared its AM/FM performance against a Sony analog Walkman, which has surprisingly good performance. As expected, this radio was better than the Walkman, but not a great deal better. I also checked the TV bands against the known local stations and all of the local stations came in fine. The weather band also worked fine. The downsides are that the radio is best used for voice, since its sole speaker is not great. I wish its AM performance were better than average, but it is just average. It has some difficulty with strong station rejection. You will find spots on the FM dial where two or more stations combine in places they do not belong. For the price, a worthwhile purchase. It is better than Radio Shack products.

If you are looking for an emergency radio or for something to listen to while out on the deck, this radio is a great option. It is small enough to throw in an overnight bag if you are going on a weekend trip. I have no problems with reception. The weather band is a great option. Sound is more than adequate for the price. Very happy with this product.

This is the best radio of its type on the market. Absolutely a superb design. Great sound quality for its size also. This is the radio you want for general talk radio use and for staying informed. It takes C size batteries that will last a very long time. Just what you need if the power goes out. This radio is not digital, which is what you want in a radio like this. Digital radios really drain batteries fast so a pure analog radio is best when you want long battery life. Tuning is no problem on this radio.

This is an excellent 13-inch tv for the price. Picture quality is superb with the included antenna. What is really nice about this tv is the extra card size remote control. It has all the functions you would ever need in such a compact design. Don't let this tv pass you buy!

I bought this tv for my hunting camp that does not have electricity. It works great with a Deep Cycle battery. The only problem is that I purchased it from a different .com store and paid more for it. Shop Amazon FIRST!!!

i seached hi and lo for tv to fit our needs for our rv,something that had to fit in a small closed in area was hard to find when looking for ac/dc.We not only found it here ,price was great,the service was #1,and the tv has a great picture quality.

My TV is slightly different than this one in that it has a/v plugs in the front. Otherwise, it's the same thing. I got it for my dorm room at the beginning of this year... it took me awhile to get it to work with my cable and VCR, but once I settled all that stuff it worked great. Everything is crystal clear and the sound is great. I dont like the buttons on the remote, but that isn't a big deal. My TV has commercial skip, which I'm coming to love... and it has a sleep timer. That's pretty dang useful in a dorm room. I also love the design.. it looks spacey. The only problem I have with the TV is its weight. It's HEAVY! I think it weighs more than my mom's 19" TV. Fortuantely I had a dolly when I was moving it into my room, or I would've had a difficult time. So, the weights the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

This TV was designed by a product designer friend of mine Paul Ocepek and features a cool, subtle shark look to it. Nice set for the bedroom, kitchen or any place you need a stylish, small TV.

I bought this product trough a re-seller (dinastydeals) I go it it in time and it has a nice image, sound is not that good but you can improve it with a headset.

This is an awesome TV with really great picture quality. I have never seen this kind of reception on a portbale TV. With its portability and great picture reception it makes an excellent gift for a child or for yourself. I take this TV wherever I go and I think you should do the same. Some Advice: Buy rechargeable batteries. It will save you a lot of money.

It is very nice to have arond the house because if there is a weather alert you are notified quickly!

I love to check the weather as I often work outdoors. What I wanted was a user friendly unit that brought in the NOAA stations clearly and strongly. This GE unit is the surprise of the year. It is sturdy has great reception; and I live in a congested area. It also has this great feature that allows me to set a radio station and still be able to immediately get the weather with a press of a good sized button on the top of the radio without touching my music station. The sound is clear and pretty good. Even the style is direct simple. Analog tuning lets me fiddle with the settings for better reception. I am totally delighted with this battery or ac plug powered little wonder. I think most people not going out in the perfect storm might be as well.

I got this TV for christmas and put in my room it was the perefect size and great for my first TV (in my room).
It has great picture quality and I totally recommend it.

if you want a small tv, like a 13 inch tv, than you should definitly get this tv. it is small but not too small, good picture, an alarm, and a cool remote. ideal for a guest bedroom or even a master bedroom. great for kids' rooms too. i prefer the silver vrs. the black!

i got this for christmas and i love it! it works with my game system and my VCR! great picture too. i recommend this tv for a kid's room

I purchased this TV from a great Vendor AV outfitters through Amazon. It was shipped very quickly to me. I thought the TV had a great picture, but I was disappointed that Philips misrepresented the specifications of this unit. If you go to Philips site and look up this model, it shows several sets of hookups on the back of the this Model. Also the specifications on Philips own site not only pictured this incorrectly but also listed the actual specifications and capablity of the tube and resolution incorrectly. I had researched this purchase at several amazon dealers listed prior to making my purchase. One of them was J&R audio and video. They also showed the wrong specifications on their site. I also received incorrect information from Philips themselves. ...

To anyone considering this television, it is a very nice unit, but it is not 1080i like another person mentioned in his review. There is only one S video hookup in the rear, and only on set of RCA composite hookups in the rear instead of the several shown on the rear of this TV on Philips own site. I was told by Philips that this televison will only play in stereo if it is hooked up composite and does not support it through the cable hookup. The picture is one of the best I have seen, and the set does have a comb filter, but because of the lack of the other hookups and the inablity to support stereo sound through the cable hook up, I decided this television was not for me. I have since replaced it with another set that has several composite hook ups both in and out and also a componet hook up for my DVD. I hope this helps the next person researching this television.

I just received this tv.....a nice flat screen tv with good picture and sound. The remote is easy to use and has a solid feel to it. S video input if needed is a nice feature. Would recommend this tv...a fine price!

I got this tv to put in my room and hook up my PS2 to. it has worked perfectly. the svideo input in the back makes it real easy to plug in PS2 and picture is awesome. this tv is the perfect tv for anyone who wants a relatively small tv with an s-video input and a flatscreen for a great price.in a word, it's perfect.

I have owned a 13-inch Sony Trintron for more than five years and have been very pleased with its performance. My television has never had any maintenance or performance problems and it works as well as a new one. I noticed that this 13-inch TV is significantly more expensive than several other 13-inch brands featured, but I'd say it is worth it since it will last for years.

A good basic TV with unmatched Trinitron picture quality. It replaced an 11 year old Sony -- the fit and finish of the older model was somewhat better. The old Sony was made in Japan while this unit is made in Mexico. I guess its like anything today. Still, if you are looking for the second TV for the bedroom, kitchen or dorm, this is a great choice. It has an excellent picture with all the basic features you need. As an added bonus, the amazon.com price was 25% less than the local high-pressure sleazy electronics stores.

I'm purchasing this 13" Trinitron to replace my old one, which just died after 15+ years of solid use. I used it all through college (doubling as my computer monitor!), it was my only TV in my first apartment, my mom took it and used it in her study for several years, and I've been using it daily for the last year. The color is outstanding, the picture quality is outstanding, and when you see it against other brands in the store you can easily tell why this set is worth paying a little more. It was because I liked this set so much that I bought another Trinitron when I was looking for a bigger TV, and bought a Trinitron for my parents last Christmas.

Worst reception I have ever had in all the various Sony headsets I have purchased over the years.

I purchased this for use when walking my dogs. I wanted digital tuning in a small package. I tried the SRF-M37V along with several other similar radios and found it to be the best.

Pros:
1)Small and sturdy. So light you will forget you're wearing it.
2)Excellent battery life. I am using a basic Walgreens battery and it has lasted for weeks.
3)Sound quality. Even with the base headphones that others here have criticised, this unit has excellent sound.
4)Lock out button so you don't accidently bump the unit and lose your station.

Cons:

1) Presets buttons are the same size and shape as the weather band button. When walking, I often will accidently hit it when I try to go by feel rather than having to look at the unit. The band button is slightly smaller and thus avoids this problem.
2)Reception is good, but not great. No other unit was measurably better. AM was weak at night, stronger during the day, FM would fade in and out a bit from time to time, and the weather band is very low volume. TV band is all but useless where I live.
3)Digital display isn't backlit. Hard to see at night unless you pass under a streetlight or use your flashlight.

In summary, it sounds good, is fairly inexpensive, is durable, and easy to carry. Give it a try!

I needed a portable radio that was effective and had great quality. I'm happy that I chose this one. The Sony SRF-M37V radio is a lightweight wonder. It's so small and can fit in your pocket and can clip onto your belt.

This radio is awesome. The quality of the sound is very good. The digital tuning and the preset buttons are very convenient. The TV channels are also a nice feature (for local channels up to channel 13).

This radio looks sleek and very nice. It's also very nice in that it doesn't waste batteries. It only takes on AAA battery and lasts for many hours on that.

At first I thought that this radio was {too much} but it's a very good deal. You get a durable and reliable radio that you can use while working out or just chilling. When the radio is off the digital display tells the time, which is very convenient. You can take this Walkman anywhere, and it's great for private listening.
