Very Poor Quality/Reliability
The Pro 100 has been down more than up. I am on my 3rd power supply, one of which came in DOA. Nice picture but you never get to see it!

Best out of stock tv deal
When you sale out of an item it would be appr. to at least give an estimate amount of time when you will restock. And if you will restock EMAIL THE CUSTOMER WITH FIRST PRIORITY. Also, will you sale the Pioneer Elite Projection 710? My comment today was on the PIONEER ELITE PROJECTION TV # 100. I am very disapointed.

beautiful picture, great line of audio componenets
I've only owned my pro100 for a short time but it came highly recommended. I compared the picture to many other makes and the pro100 was far superior.

Zenith R40W46 40" Rear Projection Hdtv-ready
An excellent choice for those on a budget who want in on the surging market of hdtv's. It has enough inputs to cover dvd, vcr, cable box or satellite receiver. Easy to switch aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3. Did have some problems due to no explanation of which audio feature was best among the selections available. The picture is a bit fuzzy seen from extremely close range, but fine overall quality. Bought this tv as a second hdtv for the bedroom and it "fits the bill". Excellent "bang for the buck".

Okay for the money
Bought this TV in early January. The box itself is very attractive, not bulky and very easy to set up. It has handles on the back and wheels on the bottom that make moving it around very easy for two people. My wife and I were able to move it all around our living room with ease to get it in the right place. I was dissappointed with the picture. It is not as sharp as I was expecting. We just watched the super bowl on it and the players, numbers and certain details from the mid- to far away camera angles are blurry and fuzzy. When the camera views are up close, there is no problem, the picture is very sharp, but from a distance it appears to be out of focus. While it is still early, I guess I would say for the price it is a good buy, but in retrospect, I think I would have spent the additional money to get me into the next higher quality category.

awesome
THE BEST MONEY THAT I HAVE SPENT IN YEARS. EVERYTHING ABOUT THE TV IS PERFECT, AND THE 2 REVIEWS THAT I SAW ON THIS TV ARE TOTALLY WRONG, GREAT PICTURE AND SOUND. IF YOU WANT A HD TV IN WIDE SCREEN THEN BUY THIS ONE.

its a projector
be careful, this is a RPTV (rear projection tv) its not an LCD monitor, it is in the wrong category as of the date of this post.

Buyer Beware
I recently purchased (not from Amazon.com) a Philips Cineos 55" HDTV. Please be aware of an issue concerning the picture images. After hooking up the set and turning it on for the first time, I discovered the picture quality was very poor. The screen reflected "rainbow-like" images, almost dream-like. I wanted to eliminate that the cable was causing the pronounced picture distortion, so I hooked up a smaller TV and compared pictures through the use of a splitter. The picture on the small TV was fine while the Cineos was not. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Now for the good news! I contacted Tweeter, with whom I purchased the TV, and the salesman gave me a "Rapid Response Team" number to call. After the call, Tweeter sent a TV technician to my home. He too confirmed the fact that there was a rainbow effect. Tweeter promptly exchange the TV with a new one the very next day!! I'm happy to say the second Cineos delivers the same outstanding picture quality that I saw in the showroom!!!

Don't get lured in
I purchased in 11/01, worked fine until 2/17 and hasn't since and still can't get a straight answer from Sony. For the money I spent, you'd think I'd get alittle service but can't, even calling every other day. One day they say paper work is being processed for a replacement, now they say a technician will be out to service, although that same technician visited 2/22 and found it "not repairable". If you do alittle more research than I did, you will find that people who have had problems, can't get them fixed, and I suspect the people who haven't had problems, well time will tell! Don't bother with Sony product.

Worst TV Ever
i have been having problems from day one. One of the biggest mistakes in my life was buying this TV.

I purchased it from Westchester County NY, "The Listenening Room" in Scarsdale NY.

65HD1 Excellent Performer
I have had this set since Jan 00, one of the firsts delivered. Performance spectacular especially with HDTV from DirecTV. People continue to be amazed at the picture quality with over the air HDTV, DirecTV and D-VHS prerecoded movies.
This is a sophisticated unit and you should not trust anyone but the Sony Factory Repair in Home service if you have a problem. All new TVs are getting to be too complicated for the local shops and furthermore they cannot afford the sophisticated test equipment necessary to repair a unit if it fails.

Always Busy Custmer Cervice, and of-no-use Web Site
I purchased this TV last October.
One day in early March when I was watching on CNN Headline news,
I noticed it suddenly got double image.

I checked a manual, and tried so hard to fix it but couldn't.
There's a menu called "Convergence", however,
I can't move red lines horizontaly. So it's of no use at all.

You can ask question from their web site.
But I've never had any reply.
Also I could find local service centers in WV,
one couldn't reach at all, and the other told me it's too far.

When I call to their customer service center (1-866-427-3946,
I'd had pretty hard time finding that number on their website),
it's always busy. I have to try, try, try, and try in order to
speak to customer service persons.

And then, they told me a local (an hour away from home,
even though I live in a capitol city!!) service center's phone #.
I called them and made a reservation for repairment.
But on the day they supposed to come,
they called me and there should be another center nearer,
and told me to call to hard-to-catch customer service again.

Ah, I gotta try again on Monday...
I have no idea of when I can see clear (normal) image again.
I would defenately not recommend this company's products
from my experience.

CONVINCEDAPEXFAN
Im not sure what some of these complaints are about.Ive recieved my tv and could not be any happier. You definitely need digital cable or satilite to get the best picture but its well worth it. For this price you could not go wrong.I have also purchased an APEX dvd player and never had any trouble with it.Based on my personal experiences with APEX'S products I would have no problem buying any of their products. This is a whole lot of tv and the sound is great also.

apex 5108
excellent set for the money. The controls are straight forward. The quality of the picture is outstanding.Picture can be viewed from different angles with little distortion. All in all we are extremely pleased with the tv.This is our second purchase of an apex product. Our first purchase was a dvd player. This product was excellent as well. We believe apex gives excellent value for your money.Apex appears to be an up and coming company.

Buyer Beware!!!!
Let me begin by saying this is a beautiful TV with wonderful picture.

I bought this TV from Best Buy and arranged for it to be delivered. It was finally delivered on a Friday and on Saturday evening (very next day!!) I tried to turn it on, the green power light came on but nothing on the screen. It then powered itself down and the red standby light flashed (5 times) and it shut down. I returned to Best Buy and they setup an exchange (new unit) for the following Tuesday.

The television was delivered on the Tuesday and 1 week later same problem!! I am disgusted with this television and will be returning it to Best Buy for a refund!! (second unit was manufactured March 2004, didn't check the first)

Great TV
My experience with this tv has been great. It is extremely easy to work (menu, picture mode, 2 tuner pip, memory stick) and looks great! I only have one complaint and that is the fact that the memory stick program can't read mp3's from the memory stick and the tv doesn't provide music for slide shows (some sony tv's do just that). It is still a great tv and I am very happy with my purchase.

5 months and running strong
I received the set in early March, after waiting for SONY to correct the circuitry problems. It has been working superbly since that time (5 months). No issues with any aspect of its function. Exceptional picture quality in HD and with DVD's. Comparable picture and cheaper than plasma. I dont recommend the SONY stand since it has shelves which are too narrow to accomodate large sound components.

An 11 cent savings! What a deal! Who could pass it up!

Lusting for the best
A friend of mine has this little marvel of modern technology, and I'm doing some serious lusting after this television. The picture is so sharp and clear, it's like looking out a picture window onto any scene imaginable.

The picture-in-picture feature is easy to use and presents an entirely new way to view multiple media. It features 2-tuner picture-in-picture with channel search, 3-D Y/C digital comb filter, up to 850 lines of horizontal resolution, fine-pitch viewing screen and component video inputs, according to the manufacturer.

Accessories made especially for the television may also be purchased, and they include audio and video cables, power strips and protection and a truly fancy remote control system, but my friend just has the regular remote.

Believe me, you haven't seen television until you've seen the Panasonic PT-56SX30 56" Projection TV. And, after you have seen it, you won't want to view television any other way.

DO NOT BUY Panasonic DLP TV
I bought Panasonic PT52DL on October 10, 2003. It worked fine for a while then all of sudden, on January 10, 2004, there was no picture. I called the company and they directed me to a local facility. They came and picked up the TV. First they told me the light bulb was out and it was backordered. After three weeks they got the light bulb and now they are telling me it is not the bulb, it is some other part that is still backordered. As of March 2, 2004 they have no idea when they will get my TV fixed. DO NOT BUY till Panasonic has fixed its problems with service.

Don't buy an RCA HD TV
Similar failure with my RCA pojection TV. Had a power outage and now the TV will not turn on. I had it plugged into a proper surge protector.

I have left it unplugged as is suggested by others for an hour and no luck restarting the TV. It is too bad a $2000 TV doesn't last. If you check with Consumer Reports you'll find RCA, (really Thomson Electronic Products of France) projection TVS have the W O R S T repair record with a 22% repair rate. Sony is best at 9 %. Should have bought a Sony.

The RCA/Thomson service has been a nightmare to deal with.
This is the letter I sent to Thomson/RCA

To whom it may concern, June 19, 2003

Although I am writing this note to whom it may concern, it appears that once you have my money no one is concerned anymore. On April 4, 2002 we were delivered a RCA HDTV Model D52130. It was purchased 7 days previously at [local store] in Mayfield, Ohio. Three months after the set arrived the sound from the speaker system started to intermittently crackle. When the repairman tested the sound we could not reproduce the crackle. I ended up purchasing a surround sound system to avoid the intermittent crackle. Two weeks ago the TV would not power up. So we called Thomson to schedule a repair. The serviceman reported that the "powerbox wasn't working and that it would have to be brought in for servicing." This set is 14 months old. I paid $1899.00 for a [poor product]. I will have it serviced to the tune of $412.00. And I don't expect that you really care about satisfied customers since my wife just got off the phone with your Expert resource Assoc... and he claims that there was nothing that could be done since the 1 year warrantee had lapsed 60 days ago. All of my business associates and all of my friends and all of my family will be hearing about this wonderful experience. I will be logging on to all of the product review web pages and scorching the RCA HDTV D52130 as loud and as often as my Adelphia powerlink will let me.

A very dissatisfied customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This will not be the last you hear from me!
To Amazon readers:{Thomson is the only authorized service center for RCA. The $412.00 service price is a set rate for any repair that needs to be brought into be serviced.}

Never had a single problem with the RCA D52130
I was surprised at the others' comments. I've had my RCA for almost 3years and I've never experienced a single problem with my TV. Color and quality are exceptional. Not one problem with powering up, display or sound. As far as customer service goes, I have no experience. But, I've taken care of my product and I'm sure not to abuse it and I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. It's unfortunate to hear everyone else's stories.

Design Flaw
Our SONY KP-57WV600 is either defective or poorly designed. After a year of owning this televsion there are large streaks and circular areas of dust caught under the screen. The TV has not been exposed to large amounts of dust and the room it is placed in is immaculent. Even if I was a bad housekeeper it should not be covered with dust residue. Have had repair person out twice and not even he knows what to do. Finally the company that I bought it from has it at "the shop." Even if they are able to remove the dust is there going to be a guarantee that they have stopped the problem? I believe this is a design flaw and do not recommend this TV to anyone.

Can't access the convergence settings!
sony doesn't allow consumers to access the convergence settings.
It costs almost 200$ every time for a technician to come and do it.
FLASH FOCUS ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH. STAY AWAY!

Amazing HDTV for your money.
I shopped around for weeks looking for the right Rear Projection HDTV over 53 inches. This Tv has met all my expectations and has once again stood as a solid reminder of Sony's ability to make a great product. No Buyer's Remorse!
