Great value for money
I bought this TV a month ago and was amazed at just how good it is. It's big enough to make PS2 games like Medal Of Honour scary and the overall size isn't as big as I though so fits well in even a medium sized room.. The picture is very clear from almost any angle and the sound is excellent by itself (although I now have the home theatre unit all hooked up and the package put together makes it not worth going to the movie theatre anymore!). The remote is simple to use and the options are fantastic. All in all I am very very pleased with it and can recommend this set to anyone.

Wow. Monolithic Size, Superior Picture Quality
I bought this TV ... and as soon as it's out of the box and in place, you get happy just sitting in front of it and staring at it, as if it were a peice of art. I believe it is. It represents the wants and needs of todays tvs and the future.
It is the first projection tv I found, that made me drool. Even beside it's tube competitors. The new line of KP53HS30s are so sweet, I think that anyone would just drop their jaw, and drool, not only at it's size, but at the bonus feature package it contains.
Here are a few, just to wet your lips:
- Auto White Balance
- V-Chip Parental Control (so your kids won't see what they shouldn't)
- Express Tuning System (181 Channels)
- Easy set up button (so you can just plug it in and go)
- Dynamic Acoustic Chamber (DAC) Speaker System (20 Watts x 2 Built In)
- Flexible Twin-View™ 2-Tuner Picture-and-Picture (HD, NTSC) (so you can watch 2 different station's sports coverage of an event)

If those features aren't compelling on their own, maybe you should just go out and see it. It trully is breath taking.

Toshiba 50h72
Very nice picture. One of the best I have seen on a big screen. Viewing angle is good, unlike some of the other projection TV's out there. The only complaint I have, and it is a very minor one, is that you have to be using HD1 or HD2 (COLORSTREAM) hooked up to a device that has component video (RGB) to use the Zoom, Letterbox, etc features. You cannot ZOOM, for example, on satellite or cable reception to get rid of those annoying black bars when they are being broadcast. In the literature it isn't all that clear, or I didn't read well enough. If I would have know that, I might have opted for the wide screen model for a few hundred dollars more. All in all it is a great TV. Perfect size for any living room. I give it 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it to others.

great buy
I was torn between a 50" Sony TV and this Toshiba until I saw them side by side in the store.. The Toshiba has a far clearer picture. I also have a Toshiba DVD player (2 years old) and the picture is perfect. The salesman in the store said that a lot of people think the Toshibas have a better picture than anyone else.

So far so great!
I've had this TV for about 2 weeks now and it's been great. Great picture with DVDs and HDTV. If you don't plan on using this primarily for DVDs or HD, then you won't be as impressed with the picture. It really does depend on the source and the connections you use. My neighbor sells home theater equipment for a living, he recommended this TV for it's picture, and so far I agree with him. The delivery from amazon was quick(about a week), the delivery company was very helpful and curtious. So far an all around excellent experience.

My neighbor had a better deal on this TV but with the Shipping and Tax it would have cost more.

Great picture
This tv has the best picture of any we looked at. It beats Hitachi and Sony hands down.

The world's best tv?
...The color rendering is perfect; the widescreen display is awesome. It is the input (cable channels or even dvd) that is lacking, not this set. it is also in a fairly compact package for a large rear projection. Everyone is awed by it.

Theater Experience
If you're looking for a reasonably priced, next generation HD TV (Ready), Toshiba's Widescreen cannot be beat. No need to go straight to HDTV, since we are a few years away from complete broadcasts in HDTV, it is nice to know that with the addition of a simple box (which will come down in price over the next few years, so why pay high prices today).

My recommendation, if you do not have a DVD player...Stop reading this and go buy one now. It is the best compliment to this TV, followed by surround sound.

Good Luck

Toshiba does it again
This is our first large set and man did we get it right. The picture clarity is wonderful, the sound great, and plenty of inputs.

We had a 19 inch Toshiba that lasted for 17 years! Replaced that with a 27 in GE, which was a dismal tv. In the shop a month after the warranty ran out. So, when we wanted to replace it we went straight back to Toshiba.

You can't beat this picture in a non-hdtv set! My only complaint is with the remote. The batteries go in the top of the device which makes it quite top heavy and not that comfortable to hold.

Unbelievable resolution for a projection TV.
I had a 7 year old Magnavox 46" and thought that was full featured. When I received this one I could not believe how sharp it is on standard cable. Since then I purchased a polarized glare screen and a DVD with a color stream interface. The set is easier to setup and use than a lot of them I looked at. The standard front synthesized surround sound feature is the best quality audio I have ever heard from a TV. This is the most expensive TV I've ever purchased but is amoung the best buys.

The only thing that put me at an inconvenience is the placement of the main rear panel RF/AV input and output connections. All my other equipment is setup on the wrong side of the set. The front panel AV jacks are convenient though. Overall I think this TV is amoung the best in the industry regardless of price.

Pay no attention to those stars... Does anybody know?
Does anybody know what the dimensions of this TV are? I don't see them listed here anywhere... Thanks Gb

The best 43" projection TV
Excelent product, very good color balance, sharp images, convergence setup really usefull. I also recommend to buy the Video Exxentials DVD that is the best tool for optimizing this TV.

This is a great TV for the quality, the size, and the image. Buy it without compromise.

Great DLP TV at the Best price
Its a much nicer looking set in my mind than the Samsung. It costs much less as well. The picture quality from the HI-def channels is Eye popping! Your tongue will hit the floor! The quality of DVD (especially if used in the DVI input) is breath taking! Its ease of use is a big plus as well. Especially impressive is the picture-in-picture (PIP) function.

The speaker base (referring to the base of TV from ground to where the screen starts) is a bit stubby so I had to buy a stand for it to bring it up to Eye level in my living room. But I can use the stand to house components that I use with it.
