Great TV To Have
Great TV for the priceI especially like the component video jacks for direct RGB input from the DVD player. I have no idea why Toshiba calls this "ColorStream" or why they claim it will only work with other Toshiba products.

The Best Little TVThis tv sits on a table at the end of my bed, I have accidently kicked it off twice in my sleep, and the tv works and looks as if that never happen. So my guess is that it is a very well built tv. This tv everything you would expect a great little tv to be. Just to add, the speakers on the side don't go from the top to the bottum of the tv, it looks like they do, but they don't, it's just the design. The real speakers are on both sides, they are about 3 inches long.

Toshiba TLP-ET1It has excellent features and is very easy to use.
For the previous reviewer; I've been quoted $400(cnd) or a new bulb from my dealer so it should be $300(us) or less.
Great Image and easy to useI use a nice 5-foot "da-lite" screen to get a 16:9 image with the projector only about 6 feet away. Picture quality seems to be very good to me, much better than computer-centric projectors I tried in the past. The menus and setup are very easy to understand, and the little remote has dedicated buttons for the most used functions like picture size.
Drawbacks with a projector are you need a dark room, about 5 minutes setup time if you are not permantly installing it, and a new set of 4-meter long video cables; but that outweighs the benefits in my case of living in a small apartment and putting it all out of site in 5 minutes when I am not using it.
So far I have used it with my progressive scan DVD player, and my Xbox system, all using component cables and really enjoying the picture quality.
One comment is that since this model is so new - even Toshiba themselves do not know how much the replacement lamp (2000 hours) will cost. I see other lamps on their website for $500 so I wonder how much it will be for this.....
But in summary, for my situation it does exactly what I wanted it to do, and the price was right.

Theater ExperienceMy recommendation, if you do not have a DVD player...Stop reading this and go buy one now. It is the best compliment to this TV, followed by surround sound.

Toshiba does it againWe had a 19 inch Toshiba that lasted for 17 years! Replaced that with a 27 in GE, which was a dismal tv. In the shop a month after the warranty ran out. So, when we wanted to replace it we went straight back to Toshiba.
You can't beat this picture in a non-hdtv set! My only complaint is with the remote. The batteries go in the top of the device which makes it quite top heavy and not that comfortable to hold.
Unbelievable resolution for a projection TV.The only thing that put me at an inconvenience is the placement of the main rear panel RF/AV input and output connections. All my other equipment is setup on the wrong side of the set. The front panel AV jacks are convenient though. Overall I think this TV is amoung the best in the industry regardless of price.

- PowerFocus lens system

Pay no attention to those stars... Does anybody know?
The best 43" projection TVThis is a great TV for the quality, the size, and the image. Buy it without compromise.
My neighbor had a better deal on this TV but with the Shipping and Tax it would have cost more.
