If you are still in the market for a quality tube tv, look no farther. This model offers an excellent, crisp picture and the surround sound stereo speakers are the best I've ever heard from a standard tv. Really no need to line it through an external stereo or theater system. It may be heavy and little bulky but get an appropriate stand and it will look great. Panasonic continues to impress with high quality electronics.

The picture is nice but even with the component cables I would still like a better picture. The set doesn't support progressive scan so if that's important to you then you better get something else.

Excellent color, easily programmed, easy to connect with other components, offers a number of optional features to meet the needs of a variety of users. Easy to setup with the Panasonic PV S9670 SVHS VCR; nice combination. Panasonic support very helpful and quick to answer questions about setup.

Panasonic's quality and innovation has stood the test of time with this television. It has a superflat 27" screen with just about AI everything to ensure the best picture and sound. It can even be used as a center channel speaker via rear inputs from your receiver. The remote control is well layed out and lighted and works the basic functions of just about anything. It has 2 tuner PIP and includes a built in splitter terminal on the back so that you can take 1 cable input and easily hook up your VCR and cable box with no external work. If you use the S-VHS input jacks (2 supplied on rear), you will get 800 lines of resolution. I used this for my new DVD player and thought I was watching The Matrix in 3D. The picture was so sharp it amazed me! The sound through the TV's speakers using the 3D spatializer effect was amazing. I highly recommend this product! Overall, it is a feature packed unit with more goodies than you will probably use in the beginning, but can definately grow with you. It is one step under digital TV and an amazing product for the price.

PANASONIC and SONY are the best. When entering into the tube TV market (20 inches and above) your best bet for uniform picture quality and consistent performance is PANASONIC and SONY. Both of these manufactures stake their reputations on this market. Both manufacturers also have a loyal following of satisfied customers who return time and again to their Televisions. I used to sell audio and video products. A returning PANASONIC customer settles for nothing but another PANASONIC television. A returning SONY customer settles for nothing but another SONY television. That's the way it was. From my point of view PANASONIC and SONY still make the best television sets utilizing a conventional picture tube. Price range aside, my criteria for choosing a set is simply how well the picture looks to me. I look for picture definition, sharpness and color consistency. Personally I found SONY to have a slight edge over PANASONIC in picture definition and sharpness. PANASONIC televisions offer great definition with a slightly softer looking image than SONY. However, I do find that PANASONIC has better control over color consistency. A color picture is made up of Red, Green and Blue signals. Reds are the hardest to reproduce and control because they have a tendency to over-saturate and "bleed." From the many sets that I have observed PANASONIC controls this "bleeding." PANASONIC keeps the Red signal at the same level and consistency of the Greens and Blues, which is more pleasing to the eye. In order to compare sets I always use the same video source, which is usually, a DVD player (I use the same player as well as the same software). My point is that I saw a discernable difference in the PANASONIC 32-inch sets compared to Sony's 32-inch sets.

I highly recommend the Panasonic CZT34WDM60. Even for those who don't yet have access to HDTV signals. Once you've seen DVD's on it, you'll not want to go back to your standard TV. Besides gorgeous colors, the monitor cleverly reads the display flags on DVD's to set the aspect correctly (which it almost always does). Most DVD's fill the entire screen. What a sight!

I bought this player almost totally because of the excellent reviews I had read about its image and sound quality, and the reviews appear to be accurate. This player replaced my old Pionneer DV-414 player, and it is much better.

The progressive output is amazing on my Panasonic Tau television. I believe this player does not exhibit the 'chroma bug' that many high-end AV magazines have found in some players, even some high-end ones.

If you don't have an reciever (or an external decoder) that can decode Dolby Digital or DTS, this player will decode them and pipe them into a reciever with 5.1 channel RCA inputs. My receiver has its own decoder, but I have decided to use the dvd player's decoder full-time as I appreciate the sound quality improvement it gives over my receiver.

I also haven't experimented with the DVD-RAM playback because as of yet I do not own a DVD-RAM drive, though I will probably remedy that in the near future.

This dvd player will also play DVD-AUDIO discs and CD-Rs with mp3s on them. The mp3 feature is pretty nice, though it won't decode id3 tags in your mp3 files. It played all of the CD-Rs that I presented it with flawlessly, however. If you play DVD-AUDIO discs on this player you'll definitely want to use its built-in decoders, as the analog outputs are the only way to get the true level of quality in a DVD-AUDIO disc (the digital outputs are downsampled to reduce the quality of a pirated copy -- it stinks, but that's how it is)

All in all, though expensive, this is a great dvd player, especially if you have a TV that can accept progressive output, and perhaps you need a DD/DTS decoder (or you'd like to upgrade the one you have). Right now the DVD-AUDIO, MP3, and DVD-RAM features are just icing on the cake, and shouldn't distract you from its extremely well-done core competencies of picture and sound quality.

I bought this TV about a month ago and so far I haven't had any major problems with it. I did have to get it replaced because of a minor problem with it. The first one I got had a blue line in the corner of the component video inputs so I returned it for another one. (By the time the guys came to pick up the old one the blue line was gone but I figured it was better to be safe than have a line in the corner of the TV come back.) The new one hasn't given me any problems so far. I have an Echostar 6000 receiver, which allows me to get HDTV programming. The HDTV picture quality is good it just doesn't look perfect. It is a CRT based projection TV so it doesn't look amazing, but I would still recommend it for someone looking for a projection HDTV. All and all if you want an HDTV but don't want to shell out the cash for a plasma or LCD projection I'd say this product is well worth it. (Although I do wish it had the VGA inputs to go along with the component video imputs.)

For [the money] this is by far the best TV I could find for the money. HDTV Ready, plenty of features with numerous viewing options. Picture is awesome even with only regular cable hooked up currently. Movie watching via CD's is incredible, especially compared to standard TV's. Having also just purchased a 20" Flat screen by Toshiba, I was convinced a 36" Flat was the answer until I saw the Panasonic. Enjoy.

I was looking to purchase a big screen t.v. that would not only look and feel awesome but also not make me spend all my money! Luckly I came across this t.v. and found all the goodies I was looking for as well as a great picture too!! I was kinda worried more about the delivery process , but i was happily surprised to see the care and service that was provided with the purchase.I truly have fell in love with this t.v. I feel like am always at a theater when I am watching my Big Screen ! And the money I saved on taxes vs. purchasing it at other stores was so big that I bought additional stuff for my t.v. that would otherwise be impossible w/ the taxes I face here at the department stores!
