This is a great buy, particuarly if you're like me and you really need a new TV and don't have a lot of money to spend. (It's foolish to buy an HGTV now with so few stations that broadcast in HGTV and the price of HGTVs are too high, they will come down in a few years.) The only difference between this and a more expensive model i was looking at was the higher priced TV had a universal remote and channel labels. But since I don't mind switching remotes and channel labels are really not nessessary,save the $50 and get this one. You can always buy a universal remote later. The only problem with this TV was that the recpection on some of the stations wasn't as good as my old one, but others were (some even better), so it's a wash and I doubt if that's the fault of the maker. If you're looking for a good mid sized big screen TV, this is a good one.

I have not seen a better picture on any television. After connecting my Svideo cable from my DVD player, I was astounded at the quality.

The nice options are:

Front firing speakers that are placed underneath the television, instead of along the sides.

Plenty of connections for Svideo, composite and RCA devices, including video connections on the front, hidden by a tiny door that you can barely make out.

Audio controls that allow you to control BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE, individually. The sound quality is fantastic. And unlike a lot of televisions, you don't have to max out the volume to get good volume and then you can't go any further. At half volume it was already too loud. So there is plenty of volume to spare. I understand the audio out is 10 watts, I believe.

One nice feature I liked is that the rear of the televion does not have vents at the top, which would allow lots of dust inside. Instead the vents are along the side and back of the rear.

The picture quality is so good, its the next best thing to having High Definition Television.

The Sharp LC-10A3U has a very small screen (10.5 inches) which makes it ideal for desktop or kitchen use. It is also extremely thin and unlike other Aquos TVs it has a small stand that helps save precious desk space.

Image quality is great but be aware that the viewing angles are not as good as the newer, 13- and 15-inch models'. I use the LC-10A3U mostly for cable TV viewing and as a DVD monitor with the audio/video/S-video inputs. The cable tuner is a useful feature but it's when I'm wathcing my DVDs that this TV really amazes me with very sharp, crystal-clear pictures. Mind you, the stereo sound (only available when in A/V mode) is a bit tinny but then again this is a small 10" TV with tiny speakers so what do you expect!

Build quality is excellent, with solid materials and great fit & finish (these TV's are made in Japan). All in all, this is great little TV and I highly recommend it.

It has some nice thoughtful features too, such as when you press the MUTE button, the closed captioning automatically turns on. You can mount the TV on the wall, on its stylish stand or on a swivel arm, so it fits easily in any space.

We got one for our bedroom to replace the big old clunker. This is an awesome TV.

Benefits:
- Picture is tremendously clear and sharp
- Sound is great
- It looks very slick -- it is beautifully industrially designed. The attention to detail in design extends even to the rear of the unit, where they have cable covers and wire wrapping mounts, so it can stand on a table and look good from all sides.
- Enough connections for several devices to plug in.

Only complaint (which may not matter to you depending on whether you use headphones) is that the there's no way to leave the headphones plugged in and control whether the external speakers are on or off -- if the headphones are plugged in the external speakers go off. For bedroom use, this means that you can't just leave the headphones in and use the remote for sound on/off, and since the jack is covered in the back of the unit, its a little bit of work to plug and unplug it each time.

Other than that minor oversight, this unit is worth every penny.

Bought this TV on the spur of the moment and loved that it was totally easy to set up. It has a very simple menu, has great speakers and is all around a wonderful tv. Very bright and crisp picture (even with analog cable).

I bought this television a few months ago and I must say that it was worth every penny. The picture is sharp and clear and the 16:9 pulldown is awesome. It really makes a difference when you're watching widescreen movies. You do really need to use the composite input to appreciate the picture quality of the TV, though. Overall its a great buy for those who love movies but don't want to dish out too much money.

This TV is the best in it's class. I used this TV for over a year and the picture quality was just AMAZING. I no longer recommend it, however, as you can get a comparable 20" flat screen for only a little more.
