This is a great LCD TV. The price is great too. DVDs and HDTV show an exceptional picture. The only problems I see are poor manual documentation and Westinghousedigital email support is slow and sometimes will not answer your email questions.

It is wonderful with Progressive Scan DVD player, well, not try HDTV yet since need an external HDTV tuner. Just ok with regular Cable TV. It is amazing when connect with my notebook computer. The color and brightness is far much better than my 18" LCD monitor. I need to sale my 18" LCD monitor.

Sound is great with DVD player. Very easy hook-up. It is 30" only, quite fit into a small living room. Pictures are smooth due to 16ms response time. It weighs so less, easily for me to move around. It looks much better when mounted on the wall than stood on it own.
The 15:9 makes black bar on top and bottom when watch in wide screen, I like it since the caption or any text just drop into the bottom bar.
Remote controller is great in simple and good at layout except the PIP function.

Wall mount is LCFL V200 made by Peerless that is too expensive for this very reasonable priced LCD. The PIP function in that remote controller is not as good as my old Sony 32" 's.

I just got this TV yesterday and hooked it up to a Pioneer digital cable HD receiver. This TV produces a fantastic picture when driven by a 720P or 1080i signal. I use it in 720P mode. You need a real HD signal to realize the potential of this TV. Discovery HD or HDnet provides suitable content for this TV. HBO and Showtime HD also provide true HD broadcasts several hours a day. Regular NTSC broadcast signals do not look good on this set as with ALL LCD TVs. The only complaint I have is that it only has 1 component input that is capable of handling progressive scan output. The other component input handles 480i only.

I haven't figured out how to hook it up to be in stereo. However, for a TV that cost me [not very much] brand new, it has an excellent picture quality.

I paid $... for this TV and its picture is very clear and vibrant. I had no trouble connecting it to my stereo. It is great not having the sports scores cut off on the top or bottom on this flat screen, which is what would happen on my prior TV. It is nice having the controls for the TV (except the On/Off button) on the top of the set. It has all of the features of the name brand 27" flat screen sets except for PIP. I highly recommend it.

This is an all around good card. I have this card installed in my G4/400 withy no problems. I have my second display hooked up to it, which I occationally watch TV on (through the Coax. Connector on the Break Out Box).

Video capture is perfect for very small video snippets (under 30sec), but if you try to capture an entire music video, for instance, the sound will get out of sync with the video. I have found no way to correct this. Might have something to do with the compression, but I've tried many different settings.

Unreal Tournament runs acceptably well. BUT, if you are buying this card so you can play 3D Shooters on your nice, big TV, think again. This card outputs Video in 3D in ONLY GRAYSCALE. Just imagine how hard it is trying to figure out who is on your team in Quake3Fortress or Unreal Tournament when you can't see red or blue! This doesn't happen on a normal CRT Monitor though.

This card only outputs Video in Composite/Component Video, no Coax. Output. But there is Coax. Input.

This Card works wonderfully outputting DVD Movies to a TV. All I have to do is Pop a DVD into my G4, Open ATI Displays, and select 'Mac2TV' (outputs the the contents of the card's display to the Video Out), then the desktop shows up on the TV, then I hit Play, full screen. Ohhh, Ahhhh. If your thinking about watching DVDs this way, definetly buy come Audio cables to connect your Computer to your Home Stereo. Radio Shack has everything you need. The Thicker the better. :)

A Good Card, but could use a driver update of some kind to fix the small issues. 4-5stars

I installed this card in my G3. Wow, when you add an Xclaim VR 128 to your computer, you get what you always wanted in a computer. A fully functioning system, 2D, 3D(for games), the ability to record what is playing on your Mac to a VCR or display on the monitor and TV at the same time and did I mention record video or still shots from your camcorder.

I am having an absolute blast with my kids. Buy this and you will too!

This is your basic television. Nothing special...pretty good picture, good sound, good price.

Great Tv Great Long Lasting Life Perfect Tv For Anyone.....I know how people get tvs and then send them back the next day cause of the picture on there set or cause of sounds or what not anywho ....you will NOT have that problem here the picture is perfect and what a great size to 19-Inch
I like how you can just see the screen the most nothing in the way while watching it best yet the speakers are on the back hidden for that perfect sound

I must say it really beats the rest I tested and when I test a tv out I make sure it has its perfects and it does anywho does not weigh alot easy to move around I keep mine inthe bed room I move it around from time to time whenever I want to change my room about

this tv is great. It is my first tv i bought and it works just fine. I haven't had any problems with it and i've had it for almost three months now.

i got this one over a year ago and this one has been perfect nothing at all wrong with it and it has great reception.
BUY IT.

Actully, I would give it a rating of at least 4.5 stars. After hanging around various showrooms for months, I bought this model from Best Buy a few weeks ago. I brought it home, plugged it in, and it worked beautifully. I rate all aspects of the set as excellent with these exceptions. First, the color purity, the sharpness, and the brightness are really superb, and the image clarity is a real joy. This superb picture quality holds up even when the set is compared to much more expensive models from other makers, and it really deserves praise. However, the geometric quality of the picture seems below average to me because I can see "waviness" when an image moves across the screen, or up and down the screen. A technical friend of mine described it as "a problem with sweep linearity". Maybe my set just needs adjustment, because not everyone notices the waviness. Other nits are that the sound quality seems only about average, and the remote control seems a bit small. Otherwise, it is a near-perfect 27 inch flat screen TV and I think it is a wonderful bargain.

I cannot say enough about this TV. Picture is clear and sharp over entire screen. Remote is compact and easy to use. Sound is good even though speakers are underneath picture tube instead of on the sides. Hookups for dvd, vcr, etc are clearly marked and easy to use. Instruction booklet is also written clearly. This TV is clearly a winner in my book.

Being a first time buyer of a big screen TV, I did some major research. And the Hitachi 53" HDTV-ready 53SDX89B was by far the best.
What sold me most was the available viewing angles. I have seen many projection sets where you have to be almost directly in front of the tv, and level with it to view it with any clarity. With this TV, you can be way off on either side, lying on the floor, or standing tall - it doesn't matter, the picture will look crisp and bright.
The menu is easy to use and the tint, color, brightness, etc adjustments are incredibly precise.
This is a HDTV well worth the money.

Fantastic picture quality when connected via component video to DVD player. HDTV ready when set-top box ships. Great value compared to other HDTV-ready projection TV's.

We have had this television for 3 years and it is still working great. I like the 32" telivision because of the cost savings over a 36", and I don't find the picture to be that much smaller.
The only drawback to JVC is that the buttons may break off and push into the television. My warranty was not honored as this was sited as accedental or incedental damage. I find it to be design error. My wife and I took the television apart and fixed it ourselves. We use the remote instead of the buttons now.
Beside this flaw, I still like the picture quality, and no electronic problems have occured.

I looked at several Tvs thinking that I wanted a quality direct view big screen, but was not ready to jump into high end HDTV yet. I didn't want to spend a lot on money on this TV as I will want to update to an all digital HD set when the prices come down, as they inevitably will in a couple of years.

This TV was perfect for what I wanted. It has a great picture, and the screen seems really large, not perceptively smaller than a 36". It also has several hook up options, so I was able to hook up my video accessories with no hassles. The picture from my DVD player through the S-Video connection is awesome, seems better than the picture on the much more expensive Sony in the bedroom.

For the money, this is a great buy.

Clarity and quality seems to go hand in hand with this item. JVC seems to consistently compete with the competition. I would recommend this to anyone.

As far as TV's go, this is the best bet. I used to work at a major electronics retailer, and as a salesman, this was the TV I recommended to most customers. It's reliability and versatility makes this TV the best as far as value. It has inputs in the back for a vcr (composite), a dvd (s-video & component), and regular cable (RF) plus it has outputs for you to hook up to your stereo. Even if you don't hook it up to a stereo, the built in speakers are quite capable of reproducing the sound crisply and fully. Seriously, if you are looking for an affordable and reliable TV, JVC's D-Series TV's are the favorite as far as my associates and I were concerned; you will be happy with this TV!

I researched 36" TVs for many hours on the internet and visited many local retail stores to compare picture quality and features. This JVC's sleek, silver-designed model has the most crisp, clear picture when compared side by side to Toshiba, RCA, and Philips. If you want clearer, you'll have to go to the Flat Screen ($$$$). If you are looking for a great, affordable 36" TV - this one is very versitile, allowing for many picture and sound control options to accommodate most anyone's perferences.

Picture Settings - Low and High color temperature settings in addition to 5 other types of settings - you can set them very precisely to get the picture that best pleases your eye.

Theater Pro - Gives you a clearer, more vibrant picture for watching movies in the dark. For regular cable program viewing I turn this setting OFF and view in STANDARD mode for the results I prefer.

BBE Sound - When ON, this is great for special effects in movies and DVDs - the sound is specatular! However, I have found that turning this feature OFF while "channel surfing" helps tone down the distinct volume differences you hear between channels and during commercials.

Surround Sound - Same comments as above. We have the option to turn it ON/OFF.

If this TV had automatic sound leveling (to ideally tone down those annoyingly LOUD commercials) - I would have given it a 5-star rating. However, I have been able to adjust the bass, treble, BBE, and Surround sound settings to my satisfaction to compensate. I like having so many options to adjust the picture and volume quality just the way I like it. The picture is superior and beats any other make or model in its class. It's a great buy!

i BOUGHT THIS ONE AFTER MY 27" TOOK A DIVE AND I NOW WILL BUY NO OTHER, THE PICTURE IS GREAT AS IS THE SOUND, VERY EASY TO OPERATE AND I HAVE HOOKED UP DVD PLAYER AND VCR, AND HOME THEATER SYSTEM, ALL OF THEM ROUTED THOUGH VIDEO 1 FUNCTION FREEING UP VIDEO'S 2 AND 3, IF YOU THINKING OF BUYING THIS PRODUCT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
