An excellent big screen Tv considering its' price. The TV has limited capabilities, but extremely easy to navigate the available features with the remote. The remote has a sleek design and extremely comfortable to the hand. Has a wonderful stereo SOUND quality. Audio features include STEREO, SAP(Second Audio Program), MONO, AI SOUND and SURROUND. The Instruction manual claims that we can adjust the settings for Bass, Treble and Balance, but in reality we cannot. The factory set default settings for the picture adjustments is not the best setting. Has to experiment with the brightness and Picture for better quality. The colors and sharpness are excellent.
Wish it had picture in picture capability and more input jacks. The LOCK feature allows for easy to follow parental control procedures.
All in all a very good 32" TV.

PANASONIC and SONY manufacture the best tube televisions. When entering into the tube TV market (20 inches and above) your best bet for uniform picture quality and consistent performance is PANASONIC and SONY. Both of these manufactures stake their reputations on this market. Both manufacturers also have a loyal following of satisfied customers who return time and again to their Televisions. I used to sell audio and video products. A returning PANASONIC customer settles for nothing but another PANASONIC television. A returning SONY customer settles for nothing but another SONY television. That's the way it was. From my point of view PANASONIC and SONY still make the best television sets utilizing a conventional picture tube. Price range aside, my criteria for choosing a set is simply how well the picture looks to me. I look for picture definition, sharpness and color consistency. Personally I found SONY to have a slight edge over PANASONIC in picture definition and sharpness. PANASONIC televisions offer great definition with a slightly softer looking image than SONY. However, I do find that PANASONIC has better control over color consistency. A color picture is made up of Red, Green and Blue signals. Reds are the hardest to reproduce and control because they have a tendency to over-saturate and "bleed." From the many sets that I have observed PANASONIC controls this "bleeding." PANASONIC keeps the Red signal at the same level and consistency of the Greens and Blues, which is more pleasing to the eye. In order to compare sets I always use the same video source, which is usually, a DVD player (I use the same player as well as the same software). My point is that I saw a discernable difference in the PANASONIC 32-inch sets compared to Sony's 32-inch sets. I believe PANASONIC's PANABLACK picture tube somehow is perfectly realized on their 32-inch sets and is the best on the market in this size. I went shopping again this weekend and I still find that PANASONIC is still very much consistent on these 32-inch sets on the several that I viewed and compared. They still have the market on the 32-inch set from what I have seen.

This is a great product for the cost. I bought the DVD and this combo makes it possible for me to view every kind of Videos. Flat screen makes it better but then for this cost its a good deal. Review the technical data and u would definitely find the features u r looking for in this product. I am a student and might have been just gone for a cheap deal for this combo but once u see it then u would believe me. Go to the nearest dealer and see the product urself and u would really like it.

I love it...it's a perfect combo/TV for my bedroom. It's a great picture & easy to operate. The 4 head VCR is super; however it is mono sound (but the sound is more than adequate).

This TV is great overall. I am extremely happy with the picture quality when using it under HD. Its absolutely unbeliveable!! The drawback is Time Warner only has about 13 HD channels, everything else is in SD. Under a SD signal the TV is an average performer (which is why I gave it 4 stars & not 5). The picture does get grainy and my $300 TV looks much better than this set! But it is still "bearable".

I did go down to a local electronics store and do a comparision of this set against the leading brands (under HD signal), and i must say it was just as good or even better than some of those 5K+ TV's out there.

Its works great when hooked up to my pc, I did have to go out and get a decent video card with a DVI out. The picture quality is simply great.

Bottom Line: Buy it! But just be prepared to be patient until more 'n more programs get broadcast in HD.

This is the nicest and thinest TV I have ever seen, and now owned. The colors are awsome, and everything is very familiar if you have owned a TV in the past, except for how thin this unit is. We bought this to give ourselves more room, and didn't actually realize how much room until the old 32" Tube TV was gone. We got to get rid of the TV stand, and the huge TV and now have a nice small unit that we can hang on the wall. Philips makes awsome product, and we have had a grat experience from Amzon throughout the entire process.

I really like this tv. It was a great price given the size and quality. It has been in operation for over two years. One major complaint: There is not output ports. I want to run the stereo output through my DVD, but there is no option. One minor complaint: It is just about a half an inch too deep for my cabinet. ...

For a mid size television, I recommend this 25". It has a lot of great features like smart sound and smart picture and it doesn't cost a lot. Amazon got it to me in three days and it arrived at my door step instead of having to lug it out of my car. The shipping charges weren't too bad either.

I find the picture to be bright and clear. Easy set-up and connections. Good price for a 27 inch t.v. This t.v. takes up less room than my old 25-inch. I would recommend buying one!

I went back to a Magnavox after trying two other name brands. They just don't have the same quality and reliability. The picture on this TV can't be beat and I didn't have to spend a lot of money. I put it in a condo that we rent out for vacationers and I needed something that will take a lot of abuse. It also had to be easy to use which this one is. It may not have a lot of features but I will take dependability over features any day.

This Television will fit perfectly in your room. It is not too big and can fit in an entertainment center. The price of this T.V. is great for a philips of this size. You will definantly be happy with it. It has great resolution for your DVD player and will go good with a home theater. This T.V. is also big enough to be put in your living room or Den. This is the perfect T.V. for the size and price. Hope you enjoy.

I currently own a Philips Magnavox television. The picture quality is great and so are the options. Make sure if you are buying a PM tv that you do check and make sure that it has s video if you are going to run a dvd player off of it. The quality can get much better.

I would buy this tv again, I'm not so sure about moving it though.

Actually, I own an older version of the 27 inch Magnavox TV. I think that it's a great T.V., except for the sharpness of the picture.

You couldn't think of anything better. I love the way the TV never seemsto crackle in picture nor sound. I personally think the quality of it is absolute. It comes with all sorts of TV functions as well.

If you try to find out the maximum resolution of this television set you are in for quite an unpleasant surprise. Calling customer service, sending them a letter, it's all the same: the run around. Their customer serrvice reps will give you estimates and tell you what "most tv's horizontal resolution are capable of" but you will not know what YOUR tv is capable of because they simply refuse to answer the question directly. For example, I want them to tell me, "Your tv model # 27V550T is capable of a maximum of 750 lines of resolution through component, 500 lines through S-video, and 400 lines through composite". For some reason, the information about this tv's maximum horizontal resolution that this tv is capable of is being kept secret by RCA. They'll tell you, "Most tvs are caple of 450-900 lines depending on what component you're using" (in other words, the run-around). Be forewarned about this before purchasing this RCA television. You will NOT know the technical information you need. I guess the only thing common people like us can do when they give you the run-around and flick you off like a flee like this is write reviews with the truth about them and complain to a few sources which take complaints about these types of situations like the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commision.

I've had this TV for 2 years now and couldn't be happier. For a tube TV the picture is great and flawless when using your XBox. I have a surround sound set up so i cant comment on the sound, but this TV is a great buy with unbelievable value.

My TV is slightly different than this one in that it has a/v plugs in the front. Otherwise, it's the same thing. I got it for my dorm room at the beginning of this year... it took me awhile to get it to work with my cable and VCR, but once I settled all that stuff it worked great. Everything is crystal clear and the sound is great. I dont like the buttons on the remote, but that isn't a big deal. My TV has commercial skip, which I'm coming to love... and it has a sleep timer. That's pretty dang useful in a dorm room. I also love the design.. it looks spacey. The only problem I have with the TV is its weight. It's HEAVY! I think it weighs more than my mom's 19" TV. Fortuantely I had a dolly when I was moving it into my room, or I would've had a difficult time. So, the weights the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

This TV was designed by a product designer friend of mine Paul Ocepek and features a cool, subtle shark look to it. Nice set for the bedroom, kitchen or any place you need a stylish, small TV.

Overall good TV. Guide Plus is a neat feature for regular cable, but not with satellite. Also, PIP feature basically useless with satellite. One of the video inputs hasn't worked correctly since I got it. One other little problem: When viewing tapes on the VCR, there's always a little fuzz at the top of the picture. Originally I thought it was the VCR, but I have hooked up several different VCRs and they all do the same thing, whereas when the same VCRs are hooked up to another TV, that problem doesn't happen. Has something to do with the coaxial hook-up. As far as the picture goes, it's great. Super TV for the price.

THIS TELEVISION IS AWESOME. THE SOUND IS WONDERFUL. WE PICKED IT FOR THE FRONT SPEAKERS BECAUSE OF BEING IN AN ENTERTAINMENT CENTER. OUR LAST T.V. HAD SIDE SPEAKERS AND THE SOUND WAS HORRIBLE. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS ALSO WONDERFUL. IT PLAYS OUR DVD'S BEAUTIFULLY. IT ALSO HAS TOO MANY FEATURES TO MENTION HERE. I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH MY CHOICE AND WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE ANYTIME.EVEN THOUGH IT TOOK A WHILE TO RECEIVE IT I WILL SHOP AT AMAZON AGAIN AND AGAIN.
