Good TV card
If you simply want to watch TV on your computer, this is a decent card. It was easy to install, comes with a remote, and has some nice features. It doesnt seem to affect my computer's performance while running, which is very nice.

The video capture mode is a little disappointing, since the short videos I tried to record came out choppy and mainly unwatchable. The video files created by the capture were huge, although I assume you could shrink such a file using various divx encoders. In any event, I didnt buy the card for its capture capabilities, and if that is what you are looking for, I'd look somewhere else.

If all you want is a TV tuner with remote, this is a good buy.

Win TV
This product does not have any of the cons ... It is easy to use and win tv 2000 (the progrm that is) is one of the best tv tuner applications there is. This card is inexpensive and more versitile than any other card in its price range. Im not saing the quality is great when in tv mode or full screen it looks alittle cubated. But its the best you can do for the money to get an equivilant card or better you looking to spend two and a half or more times what this card costs. And if your chanels are blurry thats usually due to the cable input touching the computer case.

i like it
it was very easy to install(did it by myself). I have a 21" moniter that i use for tv/movies/computer. The full screen worked great, filling up the entire screen. I have the remote control option, a (+). I also got the radio tuner with mine. I like the entire package.

    Don't buy Hitachi Products
We purchased a Hitachi 50" t.v. from Circuit City and we've had nothing but problems with it. We purchase the 5 yr. extended warranty and on a 5 year old t.v. it's been in the repair shop every year since the 2nd year of ownership this time it's been in for the last 2+ months with no delivery in sight and no satisfaction in sight, nor can we be promised that the problems will be solved on this repair trip. Hitachi will do nothing past 1 year and the warranty people could care less. The Hitachi name no longer holds the credibility it did of years ago. BUYER BEWARE! Best to look into another brand and even an other store to check out their fine print warranties before spending hard earned money.

    Totally Awesome TV
I went to the store to look around and compare TVs. I thought I was going to purchase a Sony, but when I saw this Hitachi 36UDX10SA 36" TV, I couldn't keep my eyes off it. As I continued to roam the store I always ended up back at the Hitachi. I purchased the last one, took it home and my wife totally loves it!! I thought there was a problem with regular cable shows (non-digital) but I found a setting in the TV that clears the picture and sound. I love this TV. I HIGHLY recommend this TV set.

    I love this TV!
I purchased my set last year and I have to say it has the best picture of all the TV's in this price range - It was recently stolen and I am in the process of replacing it with the exact same model - I love it that much!

last as long as the warrenty
I bought this tv Aug.1,2000; on Aug.5,2002, it quite working. The warrenty had expired. The repair cost are TWO HUNDRED, PLUS PARTS. The tv was very good when it worked, but for six hundred dollars, it should last more than two years. Buyer Beware.

Buy this television and you can't go wrong
For those of you looking for a top-quality television without spending an arm and a leg, I recommend you check this one out. It is an incredible buy for this price range, because the only other television that beats this in picture quality is the Sony flat-screens, and they can cost up to 1600 bucks for a 36 inch.

First off, the sound. This television includes MTS and Hyper Surround, in layman's terms, if you don't want to listen to a movie through your stereo you will decent surround sound from this televsion. The quality of the sound is fantastic. I owned a DVD player for 8 months before I bought a sound system, and the DVD's sounded fantastic through the TV's speakers. The picture quality is also great, with enough resolution to enjoy DVD movies at their finest without having to buy a digital television.

The on-screen menu is very easy to use, and the remote control is well designed. If you own one of the latest VCRS or have a DVD player, you will be pleased to know that along with 2 full-size inputs for video equipment, you get the option for S-Video on one of them, which will increase the picture quality by a lot compared to just regular yellow RCA cables.

For those of you who aren't familar with the latest electronics, and just want a good sized television without a lot of hassels, this is for you. Along with the easy-to-use features you get a great deal, whether off of this site or in a store. A great buy for anyone needing a television. From personal experience, you will not go wrong with this television.

    Fantastic TV with awesome sound
We got this JVC 32 inch TV 2 weeks ago. The picture quality is spectacular. Upgraded from a Mitsibushi 27" and JVC this one is heads and shoulder above my previous model.

Be sure to keep the volume low, as the sound may just blow you away.

Great value for money. We recommend buying from Amazon. It is hassle free and economical. We were looking for this model while the shipping was FREE from Amazon. Unfortunately they did not have this model then. It showed up two days after the promotion of free shipping was over.

I wrote to Amazon about it. Expressed to them that I could not place an order when the free shipping was on. THEY SEND ME A CONFIRMATION THAT THE SHIPPING WILL NOT BE CHARGED DUE TO THEIR INABILITY TO ACCEPT MY ORDER.

WHAT A GREAT JOB AMAZON DID. THANK YOU AMAZON.

    Excellent splitter
The dude from Carlsbad got a 4-way splitter (given the specs he/she quotes). Make sure you properly terminate unused outputs on your 4-way.

This is a 2 way and works as advertised.

Monster Cable TGHZ-2RF - The perfect cable splitter!
After making some recent upgrades in my primary audio/video system it became clear that the two way splitter that the cable company provided was simply inadequate to the task. Upon doing some research I determined that this particular splitter made by one of the industries most reputable manufacturers was going to have to be the way to go. Upon hooking up this superior two-way splitter in conjunction with Monster's MV3F2M NF Video 3 coaxial cables there was quite a wonderfully distinct difference in the picture on my new television.

After seeing such a distinct improvement in the signal for my primary audio/video system I immediately went out and purchased another one for the computer room to use for both the cable modem and the television in that room. This is the perfect two-way splitter for either a television/cable modem hookup or a television with PIP (picture-in-picture) capability in conjunction with a cable box or satellite receiver!

    I highly recommend this outstanding cable splitter to any and all who're interested in getting the best picture available from their television sets or signal for their cable modems. The end results far outweigh the costs for this splitter! {ssintrepid}

    Forget RadioShack
The splitter my cable company installed degraded the signal on the bigscreen TV, especially on the lowest (2-6) and highest 54-60) channels. The cable tech wanted to sell me a powered signal amp for $32. It worked, but I passed and bought this model. The results were as good as the fancy booster, without the fuss.

Serious reliability problems and terrible service
I have had this product for 6 months and it has broken 3 times with the same problem. There is something wrong with the power supply, as out of the blue it simply refuses to power up. To make matters worse, Panasonic does not do their own service (in the NY area, at least) and the 2 different shops I have tried both failed to fix it. Each kept it a few weeks and returned it, only to have the problem re-occur. I also had trouble with picture quality, which one shop denied existed but the other improved. Panasonic hasn't helped me at all, despite contacting their consumer affairs division. When it works, it's a nice TV, but thus far it's been out of service for over 6 weeks in 6 months.

    GREAT EVEN WITHOUT HDTV INPUT
I have had this TV for almost a year now and it continues to work flawlessly. Even though I dont yet get HD signals the set significantly improves the cable signal and blows me away with DVD's. At the current prices you can't afford to buy a regular 4:3 TV. I have a fairly small Media room so the 30" set is just perfect for us...about 10 feet -me to set. I usually set my picture to "Just" or "zoom" and never have a problem with regular TV pictures. It also has many high capacity connectors...I have a cable box, a direct cable connection (so I can use the sets controls), TIVO, DVD, VCR & I route sound thru my Stereo. And all this works from the one remote supplied with the set. I have no negative comments about my set.... I love it.

    A very sexy set!
This TV is simply eye-popping. I wanted an HD set and was convinced early on to go for the widescreen format. Price was a consideration so I initially bought a Samsung 30 inch widescreen (mistake!). Upon getting it home I was really disapointed in the picture (very distorted at the edges) and came back for a different brand. You get what you pay for I guess. Side by side comparisons led me to conclude that while the Sony was a bit sharper, the Panasonic had an overall more vivid picture. I don't have a very large space, so the fact that Panasonic makes a 30 inch (in addition to a 34 inch) but Sony only makes a 34 inch sealed the deal. This set is plenty big for a mid-sized room.

I love the set! Watching Discovery HD channel is utterly mesmerizing--friends can't believe it and watch slack-jawed (I still do too). DVDs (don't settle for less than progressive scan capability with this set) are equally awesome (current favorite to show off the set is "A Bug's Life"--surreal). You will not be dissappointed in this set, but you will forever notice how poor traditional (nonHD) signals are.

The set looks good when turned off too--silver and sleek. Remote is pretty good and the on-screen menu is very intuitive.

My Panasonic PT-51HX40 broke in just over 2 years. It is $500 to fix and the repairman says that the problem with the amplifiers and resisters on Panasonic TVs are common. Why no recall? Avoid big screen panasonics!!!!

      TOTALLY INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Tv is incredible! I was having an extremely hard time trying to decide whether I should get HDTV ready or just buy it all in one. After debating and shopping for several hours, I had it narrowed down to 2 different tvs. I decided on the 51 inch rather than the 56 inch because the 56 would not fit into the bedroom. I have a pretty killer set up in my bedroom, after spending about an hour rehooking up everything, I turned on the tv and was truly amazed by the picture quality. As I was watching the Fast and the Furious on DVD I was like baffled I felt as if I was there! The component video cables deliver the sharpest picture I have seen! These cables put the S-Video to shame! I mean yah they run like 60 bucks for high quality monster component video cables but are highly reccomended with this tv. I totally give this tv a 5 stars. In short this tv is worth every penny! Im completely happy with the product! This makes my bachelor pad complete with the High Def in the bedroom!!! Thanks to this TV I am LIVING IT UP~!!!!

      No TV/VCR Combinations For Me!
I have always been a believer in Panasonic products, but I am rather disappointed in this one. Not too long after the warranty ran out (of course!) I started having problems with the VCR. It did not want to play Long Play or Extended Long Play tapes. You would hear a continuous clicking sound and the picture would jump between the tape and the blue screen. At first I thought the tapes were causing the problem, but they played fine in several other VCRs. I decided to check the VCR for any visible causes. What a nightmare! The VCR is directly under the picture tube and considerable disconnecting and removal steps were necessary just to be able to get the VCR out for an examination. Then the entire procedure had to be repeated in reverse before its operation could be checked. If Panasonic had designed this unit so the VCR was placed above the picture tube, as was the case with their previous 20" model, the procedure would have been greatly simplified. After several unsuccessful attempts at repair, I finally gave up and rented a VCR so I could rerecord my tapes in Standard Play just to be able to use my VCR. The important lesson for me is never to purchase a TV/VCR combination again! Keeping them separate makes life a lot easier.

      Panasonic 13" TV/VCR
The picture is excellent. However, the sound quality is poor, especially for the VCR. When using the VCR, the sound must be turned up to near the maximum volume to adequately hear tapes. Upon stopping the tape and returning to the television, one is subjected to a blast of volume.

Why did I wait so long to get one?
I am so pleased with the one I just purchased that I am getting a second one. People told me not to buy a combo in case one system breaks. Dispite the comments, at this price I didn't think I would lose that much, so I purchased my first combo a month ago. No more cable hook-up hassles, no more awkward VCR placement on top of the TV, it is so easy to use. Just plug it in and you're ready to go. I just gave it to my 4 year old so he can watch his video's, he mastered the controls in 5 minutes. It's light weight and easy to move around. I appreciate that this four head was only a little more then the 2 head. I'm going to buy another one and take it to work.

      maximum value for the price
i saw the other review and was confused. our tv has a gorgeous picture and awesome sound (of course we hooked up 6 surrond sound sony tower speakers to it, with a dvd player too! ) we have only had the tv for a few weeks, so the other review kind of scares me. but everyone says hitachi is a superb brand... i even quizzed the online guys at 800.com about this brand and they say it is very good. this set has popping colors and a special dark black screen that seems to be more resistant to damage. we love it...price is so low i thought it was a mistake. great set...so big we had to completely rearrange our tv room - now that's my kind of problem!

Hitachi 50" is great - so now we own 2
I purchased our Hitachi 50" about 4 years ago and it has been great. No repairs. Everything we could have wanted in a projection tv. We did hook up a surround system and subwoofers though. We were so impressed we purchased a brand new Hitachi 50" Projection TV for the bedroom today. Now we own 2 and hope we have as good of a record with repairs as we did with the first one.

      I agree
I have been looking for a projection tv for about 6 months, None have been have been the right price since now. I could not believe that I actually found a picture in picture projection with component video in. I Love it I mostly use with my dvd player and DSS system. Which is mostly digital picture. Another thing is that I was very anxious to get it so I called amazon and talk to a representative. They were so nice and gave me all the information I needed.

      Tv pretty blurry
I found this TV to be way too much, the picture in picture musy run through a VCR, and the actuall picture it's self I found to be very blurry. However the sound quality from this TV is unbeatable

A must for the money conscious buyer!
This tv, although I just got it the other day, is just about what you should expect from a $1500.00 60 inch television. It takes a while to fine tune the video controls to get the picture just right, but once you do, you'll be very happy with the $1500.00 you spent on it. This is Hitachi's introductory model and is just that. Although it lacks alot of the features of Hitachi's higher end models it performs quite well. I do, however, recommend getting a plastic shield for it. This will do two things, 1: protect it from just about anything and 2: get rid of the lines that you see and greatly improve clarity. It also has a number of inputs on the back including a set of component video jacks which is great if you have dvd player. I've added a Toshiba 6109c dvd player with integrated 250 watt DolbyDigital 5.1 and DTS decoder to it. Plus a set of Klipsch Quintet speakers. All in all for the money, this is the best buy in town. You can't find a 60 inch anywhere near the quality of this one for this price. I would definately recommend it to anyone in the market for a quality projection television. If you have a little more cash, you should probably upgrade to Hitachi's SBX model, which incorporates and auto-convegience system and a included protective shield.

      Super Price - Super Sharp
Although we had to take off the "automatic" controls for picture - this 60" is just as sharp as our 36" at 8'. We have added some rear channel speakers which did not improve much on the already excellent surround sound. This is really a 2 - 3 room TV -- you can watch it from anywhere you can see it. The only draw back is you must have a VCR for P.I.P. but for the price it cannot be beat!

      Was NOT what I expected
My primary reason for ordering this tv online (from Amazon.com) was because I was having difficulty shopping for a new tv that WASN'T silver. I thought I'd found a dark-colored one here (check out the picture or more important, the technical details listed.) So needless to say I was disappointed when this order was delivered and the tv was NOT as pictured or described, it was silver. My real disappointment came when I contacted Amazon about the mistake and received a standard reply that no tvs can be returned for any reason. (I was aware of their policy but thought they would try a little harder to correct an error on their part.) This is the worst case of customer service I have ever encountered and will not shop from Amazon again.

      Panasonic CT-27L8S
I purchased this TV because of the great picture. The color and sound are excellent. I would recommend this TV.

      Good value, great picture
Easy setup for cable. A fine basic television. Very heavy so have two people available for unpacking and set placement. Panasonic is a class act so batteries are included for the remote.
