An avid TV watcher
I bought this TV/VCR Combo March 2002. It has a very clear picture and fits perfectly in my bedroom. I have whatch several hundred hours and it's still as brite and clear as the day I first turned it on. The Flat Screen technology is nice, and even though a year isn't a great judge of depenability I feel it will contribute toward the reputable name Toshiba has become in electronics. The VCR is a little mechanical starting and stopping but not a problem with me.

Terrific individual TV
This is a terrific individual TV. It replaced a 12" TV plus a VCR, and it is a great improvement. Just plug in the cable, and the power cord, and you're all set! The picture is bright and clear, and the remote is well designed. I like this combo so much I am planning to buy its big brother for another room (the 24" model, which also plays DVDs).

Great TV/VCR Combo
I just recently got this tv for my birthday, and i was amazed with avery aspect of the tv. The picture quality is outstanding, and it is simple to use. The VCR is also a great feature and is a very good VCR. The sound is outstanding, but the only thing i didnt like about this is when you use the slow funtion for your VCR there is a clunking sound, but i really dont care because i never use it. Timer Recording was simple and the remote is very easy to use. This TV is perfect for your bedroom

I am very pleased with this TV. It is not the primary TV in our house and we have nothing external hooked to it. The picture is very crisp. The number buttons on the remote are a little too small for easy operation, but it can be managed. For the money, I would recommend this TV to anyone.

Awesome performance
The 20" apex tv is a great 2nd tv. It works outstanding with dvd players even with vcrs. I would highly recommend this tv because of great sound, looks, and picture quality. Also it is easy to set up, it took me around 5 miniuts to set-up. Believe me this is an outstanding buy. Before i bought this tv i never heard of Apex and now i tell everyone about it. 4 of my friends bought it from amazon and they totally love it. I personally think it is better than the big name brands: sony, sharp, jvc etc. It also work great with Video games, i mean you can see every little detail. Buy this tv if you want to save the money, believe me.
Its so good looking too.

Bose 3-2-1 GS DVD
I was a little nervous at first purchasing this system because of some of the negative feedback I heard on other systems from Bose & the high price $1199. ABT electronics did throw in the $120 speaker stands for free which was nice. After I first installed the systems it did not sound as expected; but after some adjustments to the angle of the speakers and raising the bass and treble in the setup menu the sounds is terrific. As Bose states in their manual this system is meant to realisticaly recreate sounds, not overdue certain effects like many systems do. So far I have had great enjoyement listening to CD's and DVD's, Top Gun sounds better than I have ever heard it. The set-up was easy, including the stands it took 25 minutes and then another 30 min to understand all the menus.

Great Sound, Great Player
This is a great sound, you think how can 2 speakers have a 5.1 surround sound, well it can. I mean the depth, sound is rich in quality.

Pro's: Great sound, 3D depth, sounds like your in the theater. DVD player is a great player.

Con's: The worst con is that it does NOT support progressive scan out put, just regular Video cables, and S-Video.

BEST SYSTEM EVER
I just bought this system for my livingroom. I use to have a surround sound system with like 5 speakers and the speakers werent that great and were everywhere in the room. This 3-2-1 Bose System is easy to set up and only had 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer. If you have a small to medium size livingroom this is perfect. Its as if you were sitting at the movie theater. The system sounds so good and is also a dvd player, cd player and am fm radio. Its a dvd stereo system all in one. Im so glad I bought this product. You cant go wrong with this one.

This machine is so awesome nice sound and all. Good Job!!!!

    C1600 - BLASTS !!
This machine is amazing. The unit is loud and extremely entertaining – 50W power and all the features I wanted. Really like the feature of Digital Pitch Control to change my voice and also adjust the key of my voice. Cool thing – when put karaoke disc the TV turns ON/OFF automatically. Compared to the other machines I checked out – this is the best so far in power, looks and features. It is built really well. Only thing I would like to see improved is have a color TV built-in instead of Black & White. Will recommend this unit to all – will not be disappointed.

    Fun, Fun, Fun
I am 38 yrs old and received this as a Christmas present. I have never had a Karaoke Machine before, but this unit rocks!! It comes with a little TV to see the lyrics, but it is awsome when you plug into your big screen tv!!! I don't ever want to stop singing!! All my friends want to come over and sing!!!

    Nearly perfect.
This little sucker is almost too good to be true. Specs don't do justice to the LP130's size; you have to see it in person to appreciate just how tiny it is. Until then, just trust me... it's so small, it's kinda ridiculous.

But you don't seem to sacrifice anything for the light weight. It's just as bright and sharp as the other InFocus projectors I've used (I believe LP435z is the model), which is to say, plenty good enough for anything but hard-core videophiles.

Alright, there is one thing; the LP130 isn't cheap. But it certainly isn't unreasonable compared to other native XGA, 1K lumen ultraportables. Sure, it has the same black-level limitations as all DLP projectors. And it runs pretty hot, almost too hot to touch sometimes.

Those are minor niggles. Overall, this is the best projector I've seen.

    An Excellent Portable Projector
I have owned an LP130 for over two years and the performance is outstanding. It is very portable, very powerful and very easy to travel with. Remember that InFocus projectors ship with the brightness set to 50% and that's normally all you need. Turn up the brightness up and you can project really large images. I am impressed with the simplicity of operation. Turn it on, it starts, turn it off it stops. People are blown away by the compactness and brightness. The performance has been exceptional and it has traveled all over the country, to Europe and Asia without a flaw.

It doesn't get much better than this
I wish I owned the LP130. I've seen it in action and must admit it makes a major impression. But I'm lucky because I have a good friend who allows me to borrow this expensive business essential. Its small, light (three pounds), simple to operate, easy to travel with and can throw one heck of an image. The zoom lens will knock your socks off and the remote control allows whoever is giving the pitch to move about without restrictions. Be careful with it...it gets hot but this baby is worth it...it doesn't get much better than this when it comes to a light weight quality projector for professionals. If you need an edge...this is it. It oozes confidence.

Yes, this is the one you want
So, I decided to buy my first new TV in like ten years. I read a ton of reviews and decided to buy a 24" or 27" flat screen. Pretty much narrowed it down to this JVC and the similar Sony in terms of features and price. I've always been a softy for Sony, but this TV really seemed to go head to head with the Sony and at $$$ was $$$ less (at least at the Circuit City I was shopping in). I guess the thing that pushed me in its favor was that my DVD player is a JVC, so I figured it was best to keep within the same manufacturer.
Anyway, it's a great set. Image and sound are really sharp and can be customized a million ways. The flat screen is really worth it--if you're moving from a standard curved screen, you'll really love the improved viewing area from all over the room. The remote is really great and centralizes everything (DVD, cable, VCR, TV). Its looks are good too--not a huge fan of the silver which seems to have taken over the TV industry, but I guess it's an improvement over black. So, yeah, you'll be happy with it.

      Quality Set
I purchased this set after my old Sony 20" died. I wanted a flat screen, and it was between this and the Toshiba. I opted for the JVC due to its lower price, better remote (can control cable box, VCR and DVD player), and the fact that I have a JVC VCR so I knew they made good stuff.

I've had it about a month and I've been very happy. Excellent picture, especially via the S-Video and composite jacks. (One each, plus front panel S-Video.) It puts out a very bright picture out of the box, but I toned that down with the controls. Some people may like that, I guess.

My only "gripe" would be that I'd like an extra S-Video rear-panel input. With all the various AV components, an extra one would be handy. However, I guess one can just run them through an AV receiver. The 802 has 3 rear inputs, but PIP is of dubious utility and not really worth the extra [money].

Anyway, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this set.

Flat Screen Quality at a fair price
Originally shopping for a 32" TV, but when I saw this flat screen offering from JVC, it was hard to resist. Let's start off with picture quality. The colors are very rich and the picture looks sharp and crisp everywhere, even in the corners. You can see the picture at almost any angle. The sound on this TV is really good I think. There's a bass boost mechanism and a surround sound mechanism. Both work really well. The remote is nicely laid out and even has the important buttons back lit so you can find them when the room is dark. The only drawback I can find, and it's a very minor drawback. Since the speakers are on the sides of the screen (which helps the surround sound) it makes the overall width of the TV a bit wider. Unless you're comfortable with the edge of your TV right on the edge of your 27" TV stand, you'll most likely need to get a TV stand made for at least a 32". The TV also has all the inputs/outputs you would want, 3 inputs (2 AV and 1 Component Video) and S-video (i think). Bought my parents a JVC 32" last christmas and it's been superb. No question on build quality. Don't expect any problems from this set either.... look around, you'll probably be able to get a decent price.

Overall, [the price] may sound a lot for a 27", but the picture and sound and look of it is awesome for this flat screen.

Great value for a Flat Screen 36 inch TV!
This TV ...is a great deal. The picture is perfect and you have the ability to create three seperate viewing pictures to suit suit your preferences (ie: for movies, regular TV or by family member).

The remote is easy to use and ties in well with our JVC DVD player. The 16:9 mode on the TV makes viewing DVD in widescreen a treat!

This TV does not have a lot of bells and whistles but if you want the needed essentials...

      * 3 Line digital comb filter
      * Invar Mask Shadow
      * Pure flat screen
      * 16:9 DVD mode
All on a huge 36 inch screen for the right price this TV is for you!

      excellent TV!
I'm very happy with the features offered by this TV, especially for the price - when it comes to 'bang for your buck', I found this JVC great for all uses.

The 16x9 anamorphic squeeze means when you watch a DVD which is widescreen you can set the DVD player to '16x9' then select the 16x9 button on the JVC TV remote and away you go - the DVD resolution is upped, and you get 33 inches of widescreen DVD glory... it looks seriously good!

I like the fact that this TV has a good picture on cable, digital, VCR, and DVD. The sound from the built-in speakers is excellent as well.

      Pros:

flat-screen picture is sharp and easily adjustable
      16x9 anamorphic squeeze
      VSM can be turned off
      component video input
      nice sound from built-in speakers
user-friendly menus, and easy to set up

      Cons:

      very, very heavy (189lbs)
the all too familiar 'red push' when first set up (easily adjusted in service menu)
slight 'pincushioning' - but not too severe, and can probably be tweaked

Best Buy For Hard Earned Money
If you are looking for a great television, this is the one for you! This new style complements all kinds of decor, and the space saving of the FLAT screen is one of the reasons that I recommend buying this. I just wish that I found this earlier! Why pay retail? Take the savings and enjoy using it for something you want to splurge on!!!

      A good one!
In addition to having an exceptional picture this is an excellent Projection TV in the 4 by 3 aspect ratio. Bear in mind that term: 4 by 3. Don't pass this one up! Instead manufacturers are moving toward the 16 by 9 aspect ratio. For conventional (4 by 3) antenna, cable or satellite TV broadcasts and VHS playback this is the one of a handful of the best Projection sets available. Get them while they are still around, 4 by 3 aspect ratios that is. Many people going with the 16 by 9 sets are not happy because there are very few HD signals out there at least for the next 4 or 5 years the way things look. 4 by 3 is the way to go right now. People are complaining because when viewing a widescreen program on a 4 by 3 set you get black bars on the top and bottom. On 16 by 9 sets you get black bars on the left and right sides of the screen all the time unless you watch a wide screen program! That means that you are going to get black bars on the sides for over 90 percent of what you are going to be watching for the next 5 or 6 years. Apparently, the FCC, the major Broadcasting Networks and Cable companies still can't agree on how they are going to broadcast High Definition Television signals. And that decision does not look like it is gong to be made any time soon! Stay with the 4 by 3 aspect ratio like this Projection set has. You can't go wrong and you will be much happier. Many people are returning currently purchased 16 by 9 projection sets according to an area dealer because they dislike the black bars on the right and left. A good one by Mitsubishi!

Get All the Screen You Paid For with a 4 by 3
The current television market is in a state of flux. We keep hearing about HDTV or High Definition Television but what does it all mean to you? High Definition Television refers to a complete product and/or system with the vertical display of 1080i (interlaced) or higher lines of resolution. The aspect ratio has to be capable of displaying a 16:9 image at the minimum resolution level. (All HDTV is in the 16:9 image). The current standard for color television in the United States is called NTSC (National Television System Committee). It is based on 525 horizontal scanning lines capable of displaying a 4:3 image. Many cable companies are resisting the change to HDTV and want to carry only the NTSC standard. The FCC wants the networks to start broadcasting HDTV but they are now also resisting because they can't settle on a conversion system. Currently satellites are carrying a few HDTV signals, but they are far and few in number and show little signs of increasing. Don't forget HDTV signals have to be converted so you can watch them. Then you have Television manufactures who are getting way ahead of themselves. Many are pushing the HDTV formatted screen on most of their projection sets, which is 16:9. If you are still watching cable TV, VHS videos and Laserdiscs you are in big trouble. You are only going to get a picture in the center of your 16:9 set with big black bars on the sides. The best way to go is with a 4:3 projection set, like this one, which is going to give you the full frame. You are going to get the entire screen you paid for.

      A note on reliability.
I bought the original Mitsubishi model 7000 in 1991. It was our first projection set and became the centerpiece of our home theater. I bought the extended 3 year warranty, as I figured anyone in the TV repair business who spots one of these behemoths out of warranty is booking cruise tickets as soon as he pulls out of your driveway. Anyway, the 7000 series has been improved in many ways (better screen, better connectability, now 2 tuner P-I-P, etc), but I wanted to let you know that in these 10 years, it has *NEVER* needed a repair of any kind! It still looks great and gives me no good excuse to buy a new one. Enjoy!

Great set - but it needs lots of space because of its size.
This set has a great feature set and a wonderful picture. What I really like about it is it's mutiple component, S-video, and analog inputs. I have connected to this set at the same time a Sat tuner, DVD recorder, combined VHS/DVD player and it all outputs to a 6.1 channel receiver.

You really need a large living room to place the unit in since it is rather large. You need to be seated a minimum of 12 feet from the screen to get a great picture. Off angel viewing is good as well. The cabinate sits on rollers so it is easy to move. It also offers automatic convergence as well as multiple picture settings for sports, movies, TV etc. Colors are crisp and the picture is sharp (minimum viewing distance required).

I got it for a great price and the only thing I need to add is a HDTV tuner.

      Going Big? This is it$$$$$$$$
Overall a great television, takes some time to get used to the picture because the screen is so big. Becareful, because you need a big living room to put this bad boy in, cause there is a minimum distance you need to be able to watch it clearly without your eyes hurting. I first had the couch too close and my eyes started to hurt but if you pull back the distance, the pictures are great and definetly worth the $ for the big size. Perfect for DVDs. Buyers should purchase a warranty plan because all Projections will go bad no matter what!!!! The projecter will eventually lose focus after 2-3 years and pictures are distorted so must consider when purchasing "PROJECTION TVs."

      Excellent TV
This is an excellent High Definition TV. It gives an absolutely perfect HD picture. It has all the inputs you could want. The only thing lacking is the ability to switch audio when in PIP.
