Picture quality of this 13" Panasonic TV is good, not great. If you want great, get a Sony or Toshiba. From what I have seen at the stores, the Panasonic's picture quality is approximately equivalent to an RCA, and is better than several other brands, including GE, Philips, Sharp, and Sylvania.

The audio on this TV could be better. The single small speaker positioned at the lower right on the front of the chassis does not sound as good as my previous 10" Panasonic TV. However, it does sound better than other small TVs which have their speakers on the sides.

The menu system for set-up is laid out nicely but is somewhat confusing to use due to inconsistencies in the keying for the "enter" command. Other TV brands I own (Sony, Mitsubishi) do this a lot better.

On the positive side, the Panasonic has the necessary controls for adjusting video quality, is straightforward to use (after set-up), looks attractive in a kitchen setting, and has a reasonably small foot-print. If you are looking for a small TV with a good picture, this might be the one for you.

We have this TV in the kitchen. The white color fits in well with our all white room. The set has a good picture, and the price is right. The only negative on this TV is the sound. The audio is mono, (one speaker) so one has to crank-up the volume
if there are other sounds in the room.If the audio on this TV was in stereo, I'd give it 5 stars. Even with that said, it is a good value. It even comes with a second, smaller remote that has a magnet, so you can stick it to the fridge.

Good overall performance.

This television has a gorgeous picture. I first saw it on Amazon, then went to a local retailer to check it out. I was blown away by the clarity of the picture. I still bought it at Amazon because I buy all my electronics there and I was happy with the delivery service too. Once I got it hooked up, it had the same great picture I witnessed in the store!

This is a great TV for those who desire size & and good picture. The screen is squarer than the more popular "widescreen TVs" showing picture in the standard TV 4:3 aspect ratio. However with such a large 60" screen when watching movies that have been formatted in the 16:9 aspect ratio (widescreen) you will receive the widescreen picture with top and bottom letterbox bars (black bars) in screen size of 55"! It has 4 AV output (3 back , 1 side). To top it off it was a great price! My husband loves watching the football games on it and I love watching CSI. Great Picture _ Great Deal _ Get the TV the whole family will love it!

This TV is huge and is great for anyone that wants a big screen TV with standard 4:3 aspect, but still show a large 16:9 widescreen display for under $2K. The widescreen is 55"! It is beautiful as my wife has said. I recommend this TV for anyone that is on budget, not that this TV is cheap. The size and picture are absolutely stunning. I've only had minor issues with this product. The single HD tuner required me to purchase an HDTV swither so that I could play 480p (progressive scan) DVD's and also hook up my HD cable TV box. I bought the MadCatz HDTV swither for $20. Works great. The HD tuner cannot understand analog or 480i signals. I don't know if this is normal, but being a newbie at this stuff, it took me a while to figure out the right configuration for all of my hardware. The TV comes with a protective screen which has already paid off since my kids have written on it with pens and also scratched it within the first 2 weeks of ownership. Also, closed captioning is not an option under HD mode, unless you switch it on "manually" through the cable box or subtitles on the DVD player. I couldn't figure out how to turn it off until a service guy came out and figured the problem. The manual omitted that you cannot control it through AV-4 (HD mode). Customer Service was responsive when I contacted them regarding the closed captioning issue. My Playstation 2 is also fun to play on this set.

TV has no inputs for a center channel so one must be set on top. My first unit had a black spot on the screen, I couldn't find anyone to do warranty work for Philips (neither could they). After 7 weeks of calls, emails, waiting on parts, and finally a complaint against Philips to the Better Business Bureau and a credit card dispute. The store I purchased the unit from agreed to exchange it for me.

Make sure there are no flaws in yours before you get it home, it is a pain to get someone to do anything for you after that. Philips made no efforts whatsoever to get this matter resolved, I had to call each repair center myself.

The Ultravision (Hitachi) seemed to have a better picture.

This is the best tv in the whole wide world.

This TV has alot of great features! What it is missing is stereo sound and stereo jacks for input by a VCR or video game. The picture is super sharp, clear and easy to view in a dark bedroom without hurting your eyes. The sound is good, but could be better if it were stereo. The design of the cabinet makes it look better than your average square looking TV. This is a great TV for a bedroom or for kids and thr price is confortable too!

Each set includes a NITEglo™ Backlit Remote, so you can easily locate the buttons on the remote, even with the lights off. Each also features a quick and easy-to-program Sleep Timer Button. So when you're fast asleep, so is your TV.

This TV has great features such as the TVGuide+ and PIP. Color and sound are great. Did find a problem with the instruction booklet. Does not give enough information on how to connect with other devices especially a cable box. Took a while to figure out how to hook it up for myself. PIP feature did not work with any of the diagrams they had in book. Also had little info on how to use the PIP feature. Also had a little bit of a problem with the downloading of the TVGuide+ programs lineup. Finally found correct connection to get everything working and now I'm much happier!

This TV has a great picture and the PIP is a nice feature. The program guide is wonderful and the stereo sound is great. The remote is large and cumbersome but has everything you need for vcr and tv on remote. Overall a great buy in a name brand that I have purchased many times in the past.

I got a knock on my door recently from a neighbor that bought this set. He said he tried everything to get it to work and needed a second opinion on why it just showed garbled pictures. We tried every combination (even rabbit ears.) There was No luck. Then we tried an other TV, and that one worked. This thing just would not tune. There are no external control knobs or switches.

The menu screen was quite fuzzy but was intuitive. There are options for cable, DVD, and VCR. You can even run them in parallel.

He was misled with the "Picture in Picture" feature. He was told He could watch the hockey game in one picture, and the baseball game in another. What he was not told was that they were both are scrambled by the cable company and that the cable only transmits channel 3. So he is going to exchange for the same set with out the $200+ "Picture in Picture" feature.

I've owned RCA TVs for over 15 years and must say they are extremely well built. I've never needed to have one repaired. They have pictures that are comparable with the more expensive TV's such as Sony which you pay mostly for the Sony name. If by chance you do receive a defective product (which is rare), Amazon will exchange it or give a refund with no hastles.

I bought this yesterday, so I don't know a lot about the TV itself. I am writing the review because of the hook-up. I have all of my components (including the TV) running through my receiver. It took me about an hour to get the TV to show a picture. The manual gives you three options for hook-up, none of which include the receiver. I hooked the TV up as I did my old TV, nothing. I rearranged some plugs, still nothing. I did this for about an hour before I received a picture. I was not worried about sound because it is run to my surround sound system, so the audio jacks aren't used. All this work was just to get a picture. The TV does have some cool features, which I cannot use. The remote does not support the cable box and DVD player I have. All in all, it's not a bad set. It could be a little more user friendly, however.

Well, I was about to buy a HD-TV projection screen tv because I wanted a large TV. Everywhere I go I could see the lack of sharpness, whites and covergence issues (requires adjusmtments, cleaning mirrors) with ALL projection screen television...plus where is HD-TV. Therefore, the biggest screen I could get in regular TV is 36". I decided on the RCA because it was cheap and the TV looks nice due to the all black look and rectangular image affect. I upgraded from a 27inch.

The TV was rated pretty good on consumer reports except for the breakdown issue. I am aware that the TV will probably age faster than a Sony, but this TV is just to fill in until the Plasma screens drop in price.

The problem with projection is obvious. Plasma is perfect but expensive. A 36 tv like this is just to help in the meantime.

Speakers are excellent. Colors very good. Sharpness pretty good. Need some help in contrast because dark scenes are darker on this set.

Price paid. 547. Yes, it not as good a sony Wega flat 36" screen...this is a Big 36 inch. the footprint is 38 inches plus.

Considering what I paid for it...it does a descent job. When plasma gets to be 1500 bucks....I going for it

I've been using this cable for awhile and it performs well, no noise, minimal video loss. I've seen others run up over a hundred dollars and this cable will give those high priced cables a run for it's money

I'd just like to say that overall this product is more thanworth the [money] it cost to buy it, in fact, I recently purchaseda Sony-brand S-Video cable for my Playstation which ran me [three times more]!

I love it. I bought it primarily for PC use and decided that if i am going to spend 400 bucks for a 17 inch LCD then might as well spend a little more and buy a LCD PC with TV too. I love the High Definiton capability. I love the picture quality. Course i have used CRT's till now so cant really say that it is the best buy out there for 500 dollars.
But i like it. I bought mine at costco and then was amazed to see the huge difference in prices everwhere else.
Its a bargain for that price.
I am not giving it 5 stars because i havent really used a lot of LCD's

I have been using this as a TV and sometimes to view DVD's from my computer. The resolution/picture quality and the connections/setup are very intuitive and easy to use.

Overall an excellent product at an excellent price (I picked it up from Costco).
