We bought this TV for our bedroom. The picture & sound were fine. We ended up returning it because of a bothersome buzz that occurred when the volume was low. It would be fine in a noisy family room, but not in a quiet bedroom.

We really love this TV and the VCR works very fine as well.

Zenith has made a good start here, but it is missing some key features. Notably: sharing between PVRs (e.g. like ReplayTV does out of the box and like TiVo does with an extra option). Also it needs a larger drive - 160GB at minimum, 250 or larger preferably.

Let us hope this is an early version of what will become a full-featured PVR like the TiVo or ReplayTV because it has plenty of promise!

The tuner on this box is terrific. It changes channels quickly, has never locked up (unlike the Samsung SIRT-165), and has a good remote that lets you quickly pull up the channel info or signal strength. All of my local stations also broadcast in DTV, so I don't miss the lack of an NTSC tuner. The antenna pass through allows me to connect my analog VCR as well (useful to have a second tuner for PIP).

When considering whether or not I wanted to spring for the extra dollars to get a PVR or just a plain tuner, I hadn't realized the difference HD recording would make. I really don't want to watch TV shows any other way! And for sharing purposes, you can always edit out the commericals of your recorded program and copy it to an analog VCR.

The timeshifting feature is pretty cool. Unfortunately, you can't rewind material you've currently started recording through the timer. You have to start out using the timeshifting. The manual was a little unclear how it works exactly, so I've managed to lose 1/2 hour of a show while trying to figure it out. Suffice it to say that if you want to save timeshifted material (beyond the show's duration), you need to use the clip record function as well. Once you get used to timeshifting, you'll love it. Friends calling in the middle of your favorite show aren't a nuisance any longer.

The only feature I really miss is the ability to seek to a particular time. Instead you have to fast forward at 50x speed (unless you've bookmarked it) to the spot you want. You also can't delete the multi-channels. For example, say you only want channel 4-1, but not 4-2, you can't delete 4-2. There is a surf button that moves the channel changer between channel numbers (and then you can use the ch+/ch- to move between the multi-stations). Also be careful about your how you set the clock. I was using "automatic" and failed to record a few shows. I wonder if the machine received an errant signal and it triggered some of the reservations early. Once the clock was set, I had to switch it to manual set to get consistent results.

This is a great software to use for converting powerpoint presentations to a vhs tape. Its great for gifts.

Adds some ommph to those sound intensive DVDs. My Sanyo Personal Theater System works with this little jewel. The design is fuctional, the bomb-like shape makes for easy movement. The subwoofer was even better at adding some ommph to rock & hip hop music. Outkast picked up 15 energy levels. Even Bob Wills' country swing got some bounce. . . To summarize, it earns 4 stars for the 30 Watt power performance. Don't expect miracles, it works on a combination of volume & bass sources. It's an affordable & adaptable compromise to a more expensive solution.

From its appearance, this TV stand would seem flimsy and unreliable. However, it is quite sturdy and of high quality. It is not the biggest entertainment unit out there, but it functions quite well for me. Ideally suited to those with a small to moderate amount of equipment, this unit is versatile enough to accomodate my 27' TV, a DVD-Player, VCR and stereo. The open space in the rear is great for wiring, as you can easily access everything and adding a back panel afterwards (like I did), hides the wires perfectly. For someone with a limited budget, small amount of electronics, confined quarters and an eye for interesting design I'd recommend this unit.

I bought this TV at Meijer for $125.00. It has a good picture, plenty of input/outputs. I couldn't believe it had component! There is one small flaw, it seems the picture doesn't quite fit the screen. Sometimes one or two letters gets cut off on the left side of the screen. Kinda weird. I notice it when I play my PS2. Sometimes when watching TV. It's not enough of a reason not to buy this TV. For $125, great deal. When you start to spend $160, try a better name brand, but stay away from RCA (horrible).

I purchased this item for my sister for use in the kitchen while she is cooking. I researched this and quite a few other items of its genre before settling on this item. I am quite pleased.

First, like virtually other other similiar products, know that the LCD is small and only of adequate quality. On its own, the LCD deserves only two stars out of five, however this is not abnormal for a product like this. At a short distance it is generally pleasing to look at, although details are lost on such a small screen at a distance. Sporting events and news are great to watch, documentaries and other shows demonstrating detail are not.

The mounting kit is of good quality and is solid. No worries in mounting this item on a wall or underneath a cupboard. I have stressed the kit and feel very comfortable knowing it will not fail. It also includes spacers if your cupboards have a lip underneath. Installation time will vary on your skill and if you have a drill to assist you, but it should take no longer than 20 minutes from start to completion and complete clean up.

The inputs are similiar to a quality TV or VCR. If you can hook up a TV to antenna or a cable feed, you can use this. It includes a small flexible antenna. I found its reception is as good as rabbit ears. You can also connect CATV coax, and it will convert all non-scrambled channels up to about channel 117. It can also be easily connected to a converter box, DVD, or VCR with no issues.

It included a small remote control. The buttons were easy to use and worked throughout the kitchen as long as it was generally pointed in the direction of the TV. The remote receiver was sensitive enough for me to bounce off the signal off of the refridgerator.

I really liked this unit. I consider it best of its class and would buy another similiar unit.

This is something I have been waiting for years. In fact, even had a business plan to manufacture travel companions of this sort. True to what it means, the TV has a crystal clear LCD panel and CD music with AM/FM radio. For the sight-seeing soul in everyone it is a wonderful companion during lonely hours and soporific stretches in a long-awaited vacation. Warning! try not to take this into the jungles ! It will turn out to be one lifeless companion !!

I purchased the Broksonic tv/vcr specifically for long car trips. It fits perfectly between the front seats of our Honda Odyssey. The passengers in the rear seats had no problems viewing or hearing the movies. Great buy!

Casio's portable color TV-980 is a great, inexpensive option for road trips or places you need a TV. It is small enough to fit in most jacket pockets and the antenna picks up stations well. In fact, I can pick up more stations with this TV than with my rabbit ears at home.

The screen is a passive-matrix LCD display. It is sharp and clear, and the colors are rather vivid. It is important to keep the brightness at the right level, otherwise the display is difficult to read. It is also tough at times to read small print on the screen, the display is clear but not when it has to be read that close.

The television is powered by 4 AA batteries, which will give you about 4 hours of viewing time. There is also an AC adapter option, however, you will have to either buy this separately, or get this TV in the package which includes a case and the adapters. For the money, this TV is a great choice.
