Panasonic 20" Tau PureFlat Screen TV
The Panasonic 20" Tau Pure FlatScreen TV is brilliant! It is great to watch VHS, or DVD, movies on this TV because of the wonderful picture and sound quality it has to offer. It is very easy to hook a VCR, or a DVD player, into the Panasonic 20" Tau PureFlat Screen TV (making a good home entertainment system for you or the entire family). The remote for this TV has everything you need on it and is fairly small (making it very easy to handle and use). The size of this TV is not too small nor too big; it is just right. If you are looking for a great TV with a fair price then I highly recommend you buy the Panasonic 20" Tau PureFlat Screen TV because it is a brilliant product with wonderful picture and sound quality!

Full Of Features, Great Picture
This television is a great deal if you have limited space. I have a chifforobe made by Bush furniture that has a TV opening in the center. This is the only television that I could find that would fit perfectly in the television area on that. But that's not the only reason I chose the Panasonic TAU. The flat screen technology acutally makes the picture seem bigger than it is. I use this for DVDs and Playstation 2 and the picture is super crisp and amazingly sharp. It has multiple inputs for hooking up all your gizmos. The remote is lighted and can be programmed for VCR, Cable box, and DVD. The speakers are compact but they pack a big punch.

A great value
Based on the reviews I read on this and other sites, I was lead to this Panasonic model. I have had it for nine months now and I can honestly say that it is a great television. Comments about having to re-adjust the factory presets on the color are true, but quite simple to do. Once you've done this, you're all set and for a non-flat screen picture, it is among the best I've seen in the 27" range. I paid about $$$ for the set at Circuit City, which makes this a great value, given all the features and quality this set has to offer.

Yes, the sound isn't the best I've heard. On the other hand, toggling the sound output between its own speakers and my receiver is really simple, so I don't see this as a drawback, given all of this sets other advantages.

The set really shines in component video mode, with a DVD connected. (And yes, the $$$ set of component video cables you need to do this are worth the money.) For a small room with a low-level home theatre set-up, this TV fits the bill perfectly.

I highly recommend it.

No complains (AT ALLLLL!!)
I bought this TV 2 weeks ago, and check all other TV with the same functionnalities I could find. It turns out that this is the cheapest I found (along with a toshiba) to offer 3 types of video input (composite, S video and Colorstream - component),but also a complete set of outputs with variable audio and video tuner out. The picture quality is awesome (especially on DVD *of course!*), but also on TV with a regular antenae. The sensibility is pretty good, and the auto-fine-tuning makes a fine job tweaking the reception. *Compared to the Toshiba: the screen is more flat and the pitch seems finer on the panasonic. *Compared to the Philips Magnavox: same... And the tuner seems more sensible on the panasonic. The menus: easy to navigate and easily understandable, the controls for the display are multiple and present a wide range. The factory preset is ugly (but it alway is for shop display): too much contrast, too bright, too much color... Well, at least you can adjust it to your taste. The controls include a color-temperature control (depends on the viewing environement) and a beta-correction (let's call it yellow-correction...). The sound: euh, regular with treble and bass control, + a 'surround mode' that tweaks the phase of the signal... Better have a good pair of speakers though!! But that's always the case! * compared to other: same bad sound!! But don't expect anything from 2 3 inches wide range speakers in a plastic box!

The box itself: narrow feet (so you don't need a big surface to put it on, unlike the Philips Magnavox), and the tube is not too long, so you don't have to put it in the middle of your room.

OK I'm done, I'm enjoying it very much...

Oh the remote looks ugly and glows in the dark, but the UNIVERSAL stuff works on my DVD and Direct TV system... That's all that matters!

Great TV at a great price
After much research, I narrowed down my choices to JVC Dseries, Hitachi, and Panasonic. ... . Very impressed with the quality. Blows my old Mitsubishi out of the water. Component Video inputs from the DVD are excellent. I was not concerned with sound quality or tuner as the TV is used mainly as a monitor with all sound going through the stereo, and all video coming from sources other than the internal tuner. PIP was not required as well. All in all an outstanding value!

Low price, High end features!
I purchased this TV exactly one year ago today. Set up was a snap, and I was all set up in 10 minutes or less. I turned on my PS2 and was instantly blown away. The picture quality is hundreds better than Composite.

The remote that comes packed in is a universal remote, so you don't have to purchase a separate remote for that purpose. You can control your TV, VCR, Satellite/Cable, or DVD. All you have to do is enter a simple programming code for each individual feature, depending on the brand. The remote is also very easy to use.

The functions of the TV are very simple to utilitze. Things such as out of the box set up, the V-Chip Parental lock, turning the speakers on or off(turning them off allows for any surround or stereo system you may have to produce the audio), adjusting the color settings, and an alarm clock.
The inputs on the back of the TV are spaced perfectly, labeled and color coded, so no confusion is possible.

I researched this a lot before purchase, and many people reported a camera-like tone. I have not heard this at all. This TV is highly reccommended!

Good Picture, Good Bargain
This is a great television for people like me who dont need the "extras" (ie: Picture In Picture). The sound is great, it has surround sound, the picture and color is excellent, actually the color is vibrant. Its easy to adjust with the universal remote. I put in the time and date without consulting the manual after learning about the action button. Someone in my family has a Sony TV, 33 inch screen, an older version. The panasonic has a much better picture and color. Am very pleased with the product.

Everything that you want with a great price
Bought this TV after my old Zenith blew a fuse from a serious brown out. The Zenith was 9 years old and had minimal input and output capability. I was looking for a TV that was compatible on future products(DVD, Component Video, etc) yet it will not kill my pocket book because I don't spend all my days watching TV. After doing some serious researching for a week via Internet and looking in stores, I got the CT27D11 and here are my bullets(hope it will help your decision process):
Pro:
Great Price(Compare to JVC and Sony)
Nice Picture(very comparable to Sony)
Lots of inputs(3 in all) feature(S-video, Component Video, RCA, etc)
Has an output for your stereo/amp!
Remote work in the dark.
Has a very good record of reliability(compare to RCA and GE) = check consumer report.
The variable volume(output)to your amp is definitely a nice feature(you don't need another remote to control the volume on your amp/stereo).

Con:
No PIP(Picture in picture). I have DirectTV, hence I don't need this because I don't want to buy another DirectTV receiver. If you really need PIP, buy the Panasonic CT27D31 instead.
Very weak User Manual(did not have instructions on what to do with the S-video). A man reading instructions?! Seriously, if you know how to connect VCR/Cable to your TV = you know what you doing. Hence the weak instruction manual is not that important.
Weak TV Speaker(compare to the JVC) = considering I have my own amp, this was not important(Read my bottom line).

Remote is pretty dumb(compare to RCA universal remote): i.e. if your remote is on DBSS mode, your volume doesn't work(RCA's remote will recognize that you meant to adjust the tv volume).

Bottom line:
If you are a tech geek(want everything and already have your own sound system), this is your system. There are very few system that you gives all the inputs/outputs, especially @ this price! The Panasonic gives the best performance where it counts: reliability and picture. As for other features(PIP and sound), do you really think any TV speakers will be better than your stereo? How often do you use PIP? Is it worth the price to have it? Have you ever use the "Last Channel" on your remote? Last note on PIP, have you ever try to watch TV w/your significant other in PIP mode? If you are still married, you are far more "blessed" than I;)

hands-down winner. Don't bother with the Wega
I was considering a 24" TV for space reasons. It came down to the 24" Wega and the 24" Tau. Price and picture quality was comparable, but where the Tau really shined was that it had more inputs, smaller footprint, and its dark casing (I'm not one for silvery electronics, it just doesn't blend with most home decors). I then went so far as to hook its headphone jack to some nice computer speakers (Altec Lansing ACS54, ($) CAD), to eliminate the need for an external amp. This TV rocks. I've no regrets passing up the Sony.

The BEST 24inch TV Ever!
I just bought this TV so I can hookup my Ps2 to it, so when I hooked up my Ps2 through the S-Video the top right part of the screen was missing, though it wasnt big it makes the screen loo like its curved, maybe its my BRAND NEW PS2 or MY BRAND NEW PS2 S-VIDEO CABLES. Anyways this is an amazing looking tv, the outside shell is very sexy looking with straight forward design and the sound is great. This Tv has all the connections you need: 2 S-Video inputs(1 front/1 back), a RCA input, a component input, and audio output.

WAIT!! Don't by a Sony, Toshiba, JVC or Anything Else
OK, I have been a "Sony Snob" for years. It was the only TV that was good enough and I have a 35" Sony to prove it. But when I was looking for a smaller TV to replace the 10+ year old, 19" set in my bedroom, I was going to get the Wega!!! Wrong!!! I was looking at the Sony & the Toshiba 20" side by side. The Toshiba was wider & had a much better picture than the Sony! But the Toshiba 20" was 23 1/4" wide. It was Huge! I needed a second opinion. At the next store, they had the 24" Sony, JVC, Toshiba and this little miracle all right next to each other. The Panasonic stood out with the best, brightest and sharpest picture by far. Also, with a 24" screen, it was 24" wide! 3/4 of an inch more that a 20" toshiba! Well, I took it home and WOW!!! You must see this set hooked up to a Playstation 2 with Component Video Cables!!! Gran Turismo looks lifelike. No scan lines, no Artifacts, clear and crisp! Beautiful Picture, Great back-lit remote, tons of inputs, video source labels, great sound, small footprint! This TV is a must have!

Liked so much, have bought 4 for gifts!
The most for the money in a tv/vcr combo! Purchased 2 for kid's rooms - ages 10 & 11, last Xmas. Not a single problem. Easy to run, great b/i alarm clock to fm radio! Takes kid wear & tear like a champ! Bought 2 more this yr. for their parents, they liked so much. They kept grounding the kids and taking the tv to their room, so got them their own. Now that's a recommendation! A bit more in price, but worth it.

Money well spent¿totally reliable
Bought this model several years ago. Wished I bought a stereo model, but the mono is fine. Just cleaned the head for the first time after several years. If you put a jack from the head phone jack to a stereo receiver, you have clear, earthquake theater audio. Some channels have to be punched in on the remote. Screen has great color balance. Rewinds and FF like a locomotive. Good programming interface. Becomes fun after a few times. Kids can't seem to break it.

A potentially great machine with a frustrating start up flaw
Be aware! The only way to get rid of the annoying self commerials that go across the screen is to know that it is called a self-demo. With power on and no tape in, hold down play until the red words go away. Closed captioning doesn'r seem to work unless you do this.

TV with great features!
This 19" TV has some great features that other small screen TVs just don't have. The automatic sound leveler helps with those loud commercials. It also adjusts the picture depending on the type of program you are watching. The remote control is easy to use too.

A really fine television
I really enjoy this TV. I connected my PC speakers to the front and the sound is great. The picture is really nice and pleasant. I hooked up my DVD player to this TV and the picture was awesome. I recommend however that you get a bigger TV if you want to play DVD's. (For obvious reasons)Its a very good value.

Picture and Sound is GREAT!!
I just bought my first 32" TV after researchering for 3 weeks... I was right in selecting the Maganavox MS3250C 32" TV. Excellent picture and sound leveler to avoid loud commercials which some models of Panasonic, Sony and JVC did not have.
Easy set-up for auto programming and picture plus the remote control was universal which the others were not for working with your DVD, VHS and Stereo. After having it for the required warrenty period, I have found this TV was the Best Price without bells and whistles to be the Best Buy by far for great picture and sound.

Great Value
We were in the market for a 32" TV and were going to buy another brand. After looking at the features that we would really use, we felt that this TV had the basics. We were not looking for a lot of bells you use very little. We wanted a TV with a great picture and sound. We were very pleased with this TV. It has excellent picture and sound. We could not have been more pleased with the quality and price of this product. Consumer reports also rated this product highly. You can pay a lot more $$ for other features like PIP; however, if you are looking for the same basic features like us, this is your TV.

A great TV for not too many bucks!
We just bought this TV at our grocery store (of all places) today for our family room, and WOW! What an improvement! It replaced our Mistubishi 27" TV (moved it up to the master bedroom) which was state of the art when we bought it 6 years ago. I wasn't sure that a TV in this price range would meet our needs, and boy... was I pleasantly surprised!

The picture is extremely clear and sharp (the first thing we watched was a brand new "Shrek" video), but what really blew us away was the sound. We barely had it turned up to 1/3 of the volume abilities and it was booming away as if we were in a movie theater, with no distortion. You can select different sound and viewing modes (music, voice, theater, etc.).

It doesn't have a million bells and whistles, but if you're looking for an inexpensive large TV that will serve you well, then this is it! I'm not an electronics connoiseur, but I think this is going to be great for us in the long run.

Great set.perfect for the kitchen.
This TV has a sharper picture than my 32" Sony wega.

Great 9 inch TV
I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife 4 years ago because she likes to watch Oprah while getting supper ready and she likes to listen to National Public Radio on Saturday mornings. And this wonderful television comes with an FM tuner, so we had the best of both worlds. The picture is clear and sharp. The sound is crisp and clean. And my wife has used this TV practically every single day we have been home for the past four years and it still works great.

One thing we did notice, though, is that once in a while when you turn the TV on, it will take up to ten seconds for the volume and picture to come on. We're not sure why this is. It only started happening recently. Yet I still recommend this 9 inch TV if you are looking for something small that will fit on your kitchen counter or on a large bedroom/bathroom vanity, and especially if it is important for you to have the FM radio option, because many TVs do not have it.

Old model was good, new model is great.
I owned the prior model, which was a pretty good set but had some nagging flaws (buttons often broke, pushing the wrong button reset the picture to 'baseline', which was awful). This set has flush buttons that are water resistant, the picture is good every time, and even the automatic (when muted) closed-captioning is useful. The FM tuner is gone, but it wasn't that good anyway.

Very reasonably priced and a great picture
I did quite a bit of searching before I settled on this one. I was lucky enough to get a great price as well. I purchased the TV from Circuit City as "an out of the box purchase." This means it was a floor model. So far I have nothing but good things to say. It has a great picture. The only draw back is the sound quality. Though I do not have a sound system yet hooked up to it, I imagine this problem will disappear with one. During my research I also discovered that RCA is known to be "maintenance prone." So far no problems. I also purchased the maintenance plan which is recommended with everything I have read about big screen TVs. I have owned the TV for 6 months. Oh, also HDTV doesn't mean anything until you have a channel that is broadcasted in HDTV. This requires a special receiver. So don't get to excited about this option. Also, the Picture in Picture, I can't get it to work with my digital cable box. That kind of disappointed me as well. It should still work with standard cable hook. If your going to buy the TV plan to do so on the weekend. Unless you have a truck, good weather, a dolly, and a couple of good friends you need to have it delivered. Bust out the old measuring tape before you start searching for that perfect TV. My last piece of advice is to take your time and ask many questions. Don't get in a rush. Visit every dealer in your area and keep notes.

A Great TV
The best tv I've ever seen it offers the best connection to my DVD player and my DOLBY DIGITAL STEREO SOUND RECIEVER.

Great kitchen or desktop TV!
After having lusted after LCD TV's of this size for some time, I was lucky enough to spot this model as a close-out display unit at half-price. This TV has excellent picture quality with only a slight loss of brightness and color intensity as you move your viewing angle from side to side. The sound and stereo imaging effect is actually quite good, considering the overall size of the unit. It has any type of sound and video input you could desire, including video from a PC that can be used in conjunction with a regular TV signal as a picture-in-picture display.

I purchased a pivoting and extending wall mounted arm that is designed for Sharp and Samsung TV's of this size. This allows it to be mounted under a kitchen cabinet and can then be pulled out and pivoted at any angle. This requires the (easy - four screws) removal of the standard base. It can then be pushed up against the wall when not in use to maximize counter space. The on-screen menu allows for a full range of video and audio setting changes, including standard, movie, and custom modes. Overall, this is a great TV.

Happy Customer
My 65-year-old mom is concerned the radiation produced from "regular" TV. She wants me to get her a less priced flat panel TV in her 45 by 50 room. After three month's intensive searching (local store visiting, internet surfing), I decide to get her a Samsung. I was intent to get her the Samsung LTM-1775W 17", but I'm not ready for the price, yet. I saw the LTM-1555.... The 15" has surprisingly better viewing quality than her four-year-old-brand-name 25" CRT TV, though the sound quality is not that good(better than the old TV, of course). Now, my mom is using it as TV and computer monitor. She's happy with the clear pictures and I'm happy that the setting interface is easy. It's a BEST BUY.

A great little TV
This 15" Samsung HD liquid crystal television is great for someone who doesn't mind the small screen. The picture is fantastic. I pluged mine into a normal cable and the picture was better than a satelite connection. Movies are also top qualitiy. It isn't heavy, so you can easily move it from room to room. My only complaint is the sound quality. I paid over a thousand dollars for it, including the warranty, and expected it to have BBE high definition sound, but it doesn't.
