A great valueYes, the sound isn't the best I've heard. On the other hand, toggling the sound output between its own speakers and my receiver is really simple, so I don't see this as a drawback, given all of this sets other advantages.
The set really shines in component video mode, with a DVD connected. (And yes, the $$$ set of component video cables you need to do this are worth the money.) For a small room with a low-level home theatre set-up, this TV fits the bill perfectly.
I highly recommend it.
No complains (AT ALLLLL!!)The box itself: narrow feet (so you don't need a big surface to put it on, unlike the Philips Magnavox), and the tube is not too long, so you don't have to put it in the middle of your room.
OK I'm done, I'm enjoying it very much...
Oh the remote looks ugly and glows in the dark, but the UNIVERSAL stuff works on my DVD and Direct TV system... That's all that matters!
Great TV at a great price
- Bright 27-inch PanaBlack color screen with 3-line digital comb filter
- High 600-line (maximum) resolution and sharpness
- Universal remote control, easy first-time setup
- 5 watts per channel (10 watts total) stereo sound from 2 front speakers, selectable virtual surround spatialization
- Front AV jacks allow for hookup to other sources

Low price, High end features! The remote that comes packed in is a universal remote, so you don't have to purchase a separate remote for that purpose. You can control your TV, VCR, Satellite/Cable, or DVD. All you have to do is enter a simple programming code for each individual feature, depending on the brand. The remote is also very easy to use.
The functions of the TV are very simple to utilitze. Things such as out of the box set up, the V-Chip Parental lock, turning the speakers on or off(turning them off allows for any surround or stereo system you may have to produce the audio), adjusting the color settings, and an alarm clock.
The inputs on the back of the TV are spaced perfectly, labeled and color coded, so no confusion is possible.
I researched this a lot before purchase, and many people reported a camera-like tone. I have not heard this at all. This TV is highly reccommended!
Good Picture, Good Bargain
Everything that you want with a great pricePro:
Great Price(Compare to JVC and Sony)
Nice Picture(very comparable to Sony)
Lots of inputs(3 in all) feature(S-video, Component Video, RCA, etc)
Has an output for your stereo/amp!
Remote work in the dark.
Has a very good record of reliability(compare to RCA and GE) = check consumer report.
The variable volume(output)to your amp is definitely a nice feature(you don't need another remote to control the volume on your amp/stereo).
Con:
No PIP(Picture in picture). I have DirectTV, hence I don't need this because I don't want to buy another DirectTV receiver. If you really need PIP, buy the Panasonic CT27D31 instead.
Very weak User Manual(did not have instructions on what to do with the S-video). A man reading instructions?! Seriously, if you know how to connect VCR/Cable to your TV = you know what you doing. Hence the weak instruction manual is not that important.
Weak TV Speaker(compare to the JVC) = considering I have my own amp, this was not important(Read my bottom line).
Remote is pretty dumb(compare to RCA universal remote): i.e. if your remote is on DBSS mode, your volume doesn't work(RCA's remote will recognize that you meant to adjust the tv volume).
Bottom line:
If you are a tech geek(want everything and already have your own sound system), this is your system. There are very few system that you gives all the inputs/outputs, especially @ this price! The Panasonic gives the best performance where it counts: reliability and picture. As for other features(PIP and sound), do you really think any TV speakers will be better than your stereo? How often do you use PIP? Is it worth the price to have it? Have you ever use the "Last Channel" on your remote? Last note on PIP, have you ever try to watch TV w/your significant other in PIP mode? If you are still married, you are far more "blessed" than I;)

Picture and Sound is GREAT!!Easy set-up for auto programming and picture plus the remote control was universal which the others were not for working with your DVD, VHS and Stereo. After having it for the required warrenty period, I have found this TV was the Best Price without bells and whistles to be the Best Buy by far for great picture and sound.
Great Value
A great TV for not too many bucks! The picture is extremely clear and sharp (the first thing we watched was a brand new "Shrek" video), but what really blew us away was the sound. We barely had it turned up to 1/3 of the volume abilities and it was booming away as if we were in a movie theater, with no distortion. You can select different sound and viewing modes (music, voice, theater, etc.).
It doesn't have a million bells and whistles, but if you're looking for an inexpensive large TV that will serve you well, then this is it! I'm not an electronics connoiseur, but I think this is going to be great for us in the long run.

Great set.perfect for the kitchen.
Great 9 inch TVOne thing we did notice, though, is that once in a while when you turn the TV on, it will take up to ten seconds for the volume and picture to come on. We're not sure why this is. It only started happening recently. Yet I still recommend this 9 inch TV if you are looking for something small that will fit on your kitchen counter or on a large bedroom/bathroom vanity, and especially if it is important for you to have the FM radio option, because many TVs do not have it.
Old model was good, new model is great.

Great kitchen or desktop TV!I purchased a pivoting and extending wall mounted arm that is designed for Sharp and Samsung TV's of this size. This allows it to be mounted under a kitchen cabinet and can then be pulled out and pivoted at any angle. This requires the (easy - four screws) removal of the standard base. It can then be pushed up against the wall when not in use to maximize counter space. The on-screen menu allows for a full range of video and audio setting changes, including standard, movie, and custom modes. Overall, this is a great TV.
Happy Customer
A great little TV
