The RICOHJPN-W11 DVD+RWs are high quality media that work well in the NEC ND-2500A burner, and many others as well. You can check whether they are a good choice for your burner by going to cdfreaks dot com or other similar cd/dvd enthusiast sites.

I'll keep this brief...it's fantastic. I can wqatch TV, record shows during the day straight to HD, then watch them at my leisure. This version has a remote control (there's apparently one that ships for less but doesn't include the remote or DVR software.

With the iCal integration, they give me a website that lists all the shows fore the date you select. Nice and easy to use and my daughter now uses it - she's 9!

Taking those old VHS tapes and sticking them on your Mac or PC is now so easy that any box will do it right? To some extent, the answer is yes. But for anyone with a real desire to edit their footage, keep the quality, check what's actually happening while it's being digitized, then the Miglia Director's Cut Take 2 is absolutely the answer.

This list is in no particular order, just important 'stuff' I've learned;
1.The image output quality is superior to the other brands I've used - and discarded - in this price range. The reason is the chipset.
2. It's the only device that has an audio output for headphones on it - this means that, when editing that speech in Final Cut or other editing solution, you can hear when to make the clip - not just see it. Particularly useful when you want to edit out something that you can hear but not see! The other brands require a whole set of extra cables and plugging and unplugging - a reall mess!
3. The Directors Cut supports dual outputs - so you can see exactly how it will look through a preview monitor / screen while recording. Why wait to record it and playback to see if it's ok?
4. All the conections are at the rear of the box making cabling tidy - the 'others' have cables at front and rear making a mess of your workspace!
5. All the cables ship with this that you're possibly going to need. The others give the resellers a chance to 'sell' profitable cables to you.
6. It can be powered directly from the Firewire port - no need for a power supply - so on-the-road editing is now a reality

This thing has won very high praise from some European journals and I thoroughly recommend it. Well done Miglia

I can not believe how good my vcr and old laser disc look now that they are hooked to my monitor with component video. Color is amazing and dot crawl just about completely eliminated. Plus as an added bonus I no longer need to keep flipping inputs on my tv, now it stays on component video all the time.

I loved how this cable has enhanced the performance of my stereo system. I could immediatly tell a difference in the quality of my music. Any stereo without great cables isn't meeting up to its potional, so what is a why extra dollars when you get a lot more out of your stereo

After reading a review, by a disgruntled Monster Cable Purchaser (here, at Amazon), I purchased a brand selling for 50% less. I got 50% less visual resolution. After rubbing my eyes red, from using the lower cost cables with MSNTV, I came to my senses and ordered the POD. Big difference. The [money] I spent on the other brand was money thrown away. A worth while alternative for older model TV's, that are still quality televisions, without a "S" video jack. MAH

I have a Sony DV TRV 250 and I wanted to transfer my videos on to my computer in a painless way because the software that came with the sony camcorder just doesn't work and the picture quality is nothing compared to this. I attached this fire wire cable and within seconds I saw my videos on the PC with the help of the DVD software. The resolution and the picture quality was awesome not to forget the fact that all of this worked within seconds! I would highly recommend the monster fire wire cable to make your camcorder experience more easier and enjoyable!

Clear picture and sound received from this cable, I have no chance to compared with other cables but I am very sastified with this cable.

Since jumping into the world of DVD, I haven't been too impressed with the picture quality while using the standard free-in-the-box S-Video and audio wires. After ripping those out and connecting these J2 DVD cables from Monster, my DVD player just seems more alive! The picture and sound is so much better now. Those cheap cables just don't work as good as they should, in my experience. You can literally feel the difference between those and the Monster brands if you have them side-by-side.

I had to think a while before spending $ for these cables, but now I'm glad I did. If you're really serious about picture and sound quality for your home theater, then I'd recommend this set of cables. They're really top notch in design (thick and durable), and even have a lifetime guarantee from Monster. Another fine product from this wonderful company.

These cables are just plain excellent. I picked them up for my new dvd and tv and the difference is huge. You've got to get these!
