The VSX-D810S appears to be the best receiver at the moment to enter the DTS world on a budget. It supports DTS-ES and Dolby Digital with an additional rear center speaker for 6.1 sound (only supported by a handful of DVDs so far, e.g. Gladiator).

Its 6 channel speaker and pre-amp outputs make the system totally customizable. Each channels volume can be adjusted separately in order to accommodate the connected set of speakers as well as their placement. There is also a separate, variable pre-amp output for EVERY channel ! This usually can't be found on a system under 800 bucks.
So if you run out of speakers you can just hook up powered computer speakers or amplified studio monitors to the pre-amp outputs in order to get the sound for all channels.

It also allows for setting speaker size for your configuration (in order to send less bass to smaller speakers) as well as the distance to the speaker (for correct reverb effect simulations, etc.). It has many sound modes for stereo as well as digital sound sources and can enhance even DTS soundtracks with an extreme additional amount of spacial sound effects if so desired. It also has special settings for systems with or without attached subwoofer.

It sounds great in a normal sized living room. It might probably not satisfy the high-end sound freaks but if you're on a budget and just want to have DTS-ES sound at home, it's great. Considering the price, I personally kept my expectations low but I was blown away when I watched my first DTS movie with it.

The question when buying a top of the line video card is FX5900 or Radeon9800. For all practical purposes, they're the same card. The only difference is in the way it handles DirectX 9. Radeon uses 24bit processing, and the FX Uses either 16 or 32 bit processing. The bottom line is, everything looks great with either of these cards. You will get top performance only if the program you are running was designed for your card. I suggest this because the majority of DirectX 9 games will be optimized for the FX.

These projectors are one of the greatest computer peripherals invented! Simply by plugging the projector in and snapping two computer cables into place you are ready to go.

Now you can run your presentations, training seminars,etc., right off your lap top or pc. And it doesn't take a computer technician to operate it!

I bought this TV to replace a smaller 9" TV/VCR combo that had stopped recording correctly. It turned out to be cheaper and has a much better tuner than the Sansui that it replaced. I can now get channels that didn't come in at all before. I like all the features and the remote is easy to use. The only problem is that it doesn't come with an antenna.

This is an OEM version of Radeon's 9700 128MB Pro card with a Zalman ZM-80 heatpipe pre-installed in place of the usual fan. I decided to avoid fans after the whiny monster on the Oxygen graphics card powering my SGI 1600SW flat panel drove me to distraction. Along with an Antec Sonata case and low-noise power supply, this is a perfect component for high-power, low noise machines.

It works. It's totally silent. The heatpipe transfers heat between the two huge heatsinks on either side of the card, and it gets warm, but not too hot to touch. Motherboard temperature ranges are fine under load.

The only warning is that you need a motherboard with plenty of room between the AGP slot and both the north bridge heatsink and the memory slots; this card obscures the first PCI slot on my ASUS P4C800 board, but is otherwise fine. If you're uncertain, Zalman's web site has an active newsgroup with tech support.

It was a piece of cake to install the card in the AGP slot, install the drivers and configure. The card drove my monitor during BIOS setup, and is now running my Samsung 240T at 1920x1200 in DVI. Both Radeon and Samsung claim this is not possible in their manuals, but my results agreed with what I read on countless message boards. Not only does my Radeon 9700 work at 1920x1200 60Hz (the monitor's native resolution and frequency), but so does my Radeon 9000 Pro with 128MB. The resulting images are bright and sharp, and DVDs are scaled very easily scaled to 1920x1200 with crystal clear results. DVI is an order of magnitude sharper than VGA when driving my flat panel monitor.

I just wanna tell people that this is PRO version with 128Mb memory.
This card is great comes with cable for tV out.
Very fast card for the price, however if you play more than 3 times a week(games) you should buy Radeon 9500 or 9700.
I play with 1024x1024 resolution with Athlon XP 2400+
what can I say, that video card left me with big smile on my face. It will play up to date game with that Resolution eazy.

I've always been a monster cable fan until now. The difference in audio between this one and the more expensive cables is not noticeable to the human ear. I'll take two or even three for the price of one of the more expensive "quality" cables.

Great container to hold photos & help you get them organized. These boxes are made with typical Rubbermaid quality & durability. They stack well & are great for holding things in typically damp places like my basement! Keeps my photos organized, clean, easily reachable.

After a long wait, finally got the bag from Amazon! Heard from Amazon's customer service that they ordered this from another supplier.

After opening the product, I was amazed to look at the finish. You can bet on Samsonite. I have Canon G3 with 3 lenses, lens adapter, a small cleaning kit, charger and cables supplied with G3. I can fit all of them in this bag very well. I should be able to keep the manual at the bottom of the bag if I remove that extra (removable) pad. If I re-arrange all these, I am sure I can keep one more G3 size item in the bag... may be my next camcorder?

This is my thrid bag for my G3. I was not happy with the other two. I guess I won't need to shop around any more...

as vcrs seem to ride into the sunset, this is still one good one for cheap. it has index search,sharpness conrol,19m heads and a great picture on both speeds.the slow motion and f.advance remote layout is a little weird with -x7,-x5,x2,0,x2,x3,x5,x7,and super fast forward all being on two buttons you have to count button presses really fast to make machine do what you want say if you want to rewind and pause on something a few seconds before.I find myself not able to do it as precisely as on past machines. but all in all for [the price] and free shipping what the hell.only time will tell reliability. my last machine was one of those really handsome toshiba six heads now extinct.lasted me a solid 8 years with much daily use Id say 200,000+ miles. I dont no why I didnt get another toshiba,the one they have now,w727 has one of those cool remotes with the big dial and 19m heads two important things to me.oh well maybe Ill still buy one or next time.
