It's a little confusing with all the different remote switching to get to the various other options. I haven't found that the sound has been as powerful sounding with this as my replaced Yamaha of 15 years had. Of course, the most obvious reason is that I'm only getting sound from the center, and two fronts, instead of all five plus the sub. The reason is that the surround sound is only activated with use of the DVD player and not from the cd or tv, or VCR. You could set the speakers to utilize 'speaker B' at the speaker input, but that would be continuous replacing of hookups to the back. I haven't found a way to get my PS2 to connect throughput to the receiver and on to the tv unit from there. I like it, but I'm not overwhelmed.

I just hooked up my 3rd Pioneer receiver since 1970. I bought the biggest speakers they had then. Book shelve 6-way all 4 with 15" woofers. My first was only 70 watt to drive these 100-watt speakers. In 1985 #2 Pioneers first Dolby surround, with 60 watts to all 4 speakers. Finally #3 just recently the D710s which pushes a powerful 100 watts to the 4 speakers I have, with room to add Tv center sound and a sub-woofer. The sub-woofer not needed with my speakers. Once you set up the various Pro-Logic and DSP modes this baby sounds as good as the best theater you have ever been in including IMAX. It gives you exact control of all channels which contrary to the above review surround you with full spectrum of the complete sound source. Yes, and it does work from Tv, Dvd, and the VCR never sounded any better. My only problem is there is no Phono jacks, and since the 70's I have lots of vinyl. However, whens the last time you bought a record? This unit is priced right and delivers way more than you can use in a typical living room. If you want to hear it all, nothing less than 100 watts, nothing less then Pioneer, for a lifetime of entertainment.

i bought this reciever about 14 months ago at best buy i thought it lacked a few features like on screen gui but otherwise it was a solid preformer about 6 months into owning it the remote stoped working then about 8 months into owning it when i had it on the volume would start to turn up or down on its own and then about 1 month ago it stoped working when you turn it on it displayes dsp ng what ever that means any how i think this one was a lemon i would still recomend pioneers products just get an extended warrenty with it

I bought this receiver bout a year ago at bestbuy. Let me tell you this is one of the best audio investments I made. I dont yhink it mentions it but one its dsp modes is 6 channel stereo and I use that because I only use it for music and listen to hip hop. The unit has one draw back though you have no control over treble or bass when in any dsp modes you can only use that in the 2 channel stereo mode and like a lot of bass so currently I have 4 klh 12" woofer speakers hooked up and two sony bookshelf with 8" woofer whicH I will be getting rid of when I receive the AV 5001s by klh. It rivals some of the high end yamaha and marantz high end receivers. I got mine for much cheaper, 400 and at that price I just couldnt resist it. I highly recommend this item thats why I give it 5 stars.

I've been using this cable for awhile and it performs well, no noise, minimal video loss. I've seen others run up over a hundred dollars and this cable will give those high priced cables a run for it's money

I'd just like to say that overall this product is more thanworth the [money] it cost to buy it, in fact, I recently purchaseda Sony-brand S-Video cable for my Playstation which ran me [three times more]!

After searching for many different av and tv furniture we picked up a Sanus NF 204 in Cherry. It's great. I'm getting rid of my oBello TV stand and replacing with the Sanus TV stand to match the AV stand. Construction is Far better than the oBello for about the same price. Looks great with a flatscreen tv. Also you might want to check out quadraspire furniture.

These are very cool contemporary pieces of home audio furniture. If you like the style, then this is for you.

I bought this unit for its looks and it did not disappoint in this regard. It will show off your stereo equipment very nicely.

One thing to note is that the attractive three leg only design makes the tower rather wobbly, so beware of bumping against it if you have a phonograph on the top shelf! Also, when you are working around the back the exposed shelf edges will seek out your eye sockets.

The product is well packed and mine arrived in excellent condition.

The major drawback of this product is the retail price (and even the less than retail price I paid), which is quite insane unless you are totally in love with the looks. However, I note that the third party prices have dropped noticeably since, making this stand worthy of consideration for a larger group.

I bought this unit to house my ever-growing home theater equipment. The stand was very easy to put together with the instructions. It took less than an hour to get the thing put together. While I love the wire management system in the back, it somewhat difficult to get the plastic piece around all of my cords. However, once you get it attached it provides a much cleaner look. I also looked at the Salamnder Synergy line but the height of this stand was much closer to the height of my television so I went with this unit. Be aware that this stand does not have wheels, so maneuvering it around can be quite difficult when it is setup with all of your equipment. I bought some of those cheap plastic things that enable you to move large furniture (sorry I cannot remember the brand name). It is probably the only way you could move it without taking your equipment off first.

When I started shopping around for a new set of A/V furniture, I hit all the usual suspects, Ikea, and other local furniture stores. All of the offerings seemed about the same, a large cabinet for the TV, potentially with some side units. I felt this furniture could quickly be dated by the new generation of large, flat TV's so I kept looking.

I found Sanus when I started shopping at A/V stores instead of furniture stores. They have a nice line of very attractive furniture that will still work when if you upgrade to a large television.

This particular television stand has worked out very well. A few days after ordering it from Amazon, a large, heavy box showed up on my doorstep (glad I didn't have to figure out how to get it home!) and I started assembling. Assembly went very quickly. The single required tool is provided and the instructions are clear.

The result is a very sturdy television stand that looks great and is wide enough (about 42") to accommodate some very large televisions. It also supports several hundred pounds, which means you can put large direct view TV's on this and not worry.

I bought the maple version of this stand two years ago. We have one of the 36" Sony Wega TV's on it (280 pounds). It easily fits four regular size stereo/video components on the shelves. I'm very happy with the purchase, but wish it hadn't cost so much.

I got a great deal on this vcr and I've found that it has many great features. The one drawback is that there is no display on the front of the machine, but that's minor in contrast with the many functions that it can perform. I've only had it a few weeks, so we'll see how it goes from here!

For the price, this is a great VCR. I have had one since June 1999 and it has worked great. I miss not having a clock/timer display on the front. It's hard to tell whether you're playing/forwarding/rewinding a cassette just looking at the display. I like the fact that many controls are available on the face when you're unable to find the remote.

I bought this VCR a month ago, and found it a good buy. The autohead cleaning, rapid rewind and indexing features are a very nice add-on.

I'd recommend this VCR for low-budget buyers.

I bought 2 of these already for $120 each and thought I got a deal for a very good quality machine. I'm buying 1 more at this fabulous price to use with one on my existing VCRs because 2 of these are cheaper than buying a Go Video dual deck machine.
